Sanchez has the sniffles

Looks like Diego Sanchez is off the card for this Saturday’s UFC 58. Sanchez was scheduled to fight John Alessio, but according to Sherdog.com , FightReport.net, and the UFC’s official website, Sanchez had to withdraw due to illness.

According to Sanchez’s manager, Diego became ill sometime last week and has dropped in weight all the way to approximately 160 pounds. Sanchez checked himself into an Albuquerque emergency room and has been on IV fluids while he tries to recover.

The UFC has announced that there will be no replacement for the Sanchez-Alessio matchup.
