David “the Crow” Loiseau released his first public statement today since he lost to UFC Middleweight champion Rich Franklin at UFC 58 on March 4th. MMAweekly.com is claiming they Loiseau sent the letter “exlusively” to them, while Jeff Sherwood of Sherdog.com also posted the same letter on the Sherdog.com forums.
It’s an interesting read. The Crow speaks about his experience prior to his title fight with Franklin and the rumors surrounding his separation with former manager Stephane Patry. Loiseau also speaks about how he couldn’t see from the middle of the second round on in his fight with Franklin, and that he was not going to quit no matter what it cost him.
This is how the letter ends:
Hope this clarifies everything and that yall still got love for me. I’d also like to send all my best wishes to Rich Franklin in his recovery from the fight and the surgery. You are a true champion and you deserve everything you got. To all the fans out there,I’m still here. Already back in the gym since last week. Still learning and improving. Thank you for the support. God bless all of you.
P.S. I WILL BE THE UFC CHAMPION ONE DAY.
David Loiseau
Will he be the champ someday? Only time will tell.
