MMA Weekly is reporting that Yves Edwards will be taking on Seichi Ikemoto at this weekend’s Pride Bushido 10 show. Edwards kept dropping hints about being back in action ’sooner than later’ during his interview with Zach and Rob from Fight Opinion last week and now we know why. Edwards was informed of the fight last week. His opponent Seichi Ikemoto is a veteran of Shooto and Deep and sports a record of 11-11-4 (5 TKOs and 1 Sub). Yves will be a guest on MMA Weekly’s Radio show which begins at 9am PT today. Read more here.
I hope Yves can bounce back from his loss to Mark Hominick at UFC 58 and make a good showing at Bushido 10. Edwards is an exciting and entertaining fighter, and one of the best lightweights in MMA today.
