wow Doc this piece just wont die eh? anyways……. i think its less about what discipline you start with and more about the fighter doing it. when i was young i competed in both highschool wrestling and boxing and not until i found MMA did i ever connect the two, it was like the difference between baseball and hockey for me so nether had anything to do with the other. since those times i ended moving on to kickboxing, mauy thai, ju jitsu, and what ever else i could learn. the reason most boxers take sh*t is because they are under the impression that boxing is the be all, end all and thats all they need to win and thats just ridiculous and Tyson is one of those characters who thinks like that so i doubt anyone will ever take him seriously in the world of MMA.

I wish all u retards would stop just picking sides and think of fighting as a whole. just becuase ur a boxer does not instantly mean when somone takes u down ur gonna get ****** up.just like MMA fighters would NOT get KTFO if they stand. and mike tyson is not a good fighter?are u ******* kidding he punches so god damn fast with big gloves lead alone the small ones.MMa fighters train boxing so dont count them out. of course an MMA fighter will (if smart) try and take it to the ground where they will have a better chance to win but NOT a garanteed win. As mike will try to stand where he MAY win but still has a chance of loss. If under boxing rules u think the MMA figher will just give up?no hese gonna punch tryson just as much as any boxer would. I wish some of these 12 year old UFC fans would just think for a second. Same with the die hard boxing fans, nothing wrong with boxing just use ur freakin head.

Mike Tyson is not going to fight MMA. its not happening! this post is from Aug. 2006, its now Jan. 2008 and PRIDEFC no longer exists. Tyson WAS a great boxer but hes way past his prime in that sport, i highly doubt he can or will ever be a good enough MMA fighter to be anything more then a novelty that any real MMA fan wouldnt care to even watch after MAYBE one fight.
