Here’s a nice video for all the Wanderlei Silva fans out there. For those of you Wandy-lovers out there who have been leaving comments on MMA HQ that Wanderlei will destroy and walk-through Chuck Liddell, have a look at this. This is what happens when Wanderlei fights someone with good standup, someone who is a counter-puncher. Wandy’s wild left-right-left-right hook combo’s aren’t going to get the job done in that situation. Wandy gets rocked twice in the first 3 minutes, and then gets the nice high kick to finish it off.
Before any of you post about how this was a fight out of weight class for Wandy since Cro-Cop is a heavyweight, save it. I don’t want to hear it.

So does Rampage have good stand up, because he knocked Chuck out cold. And we all know what Silva did to Rampage, twice.
Frankly Rampage has a decent but not great standup and clearly doesn’t have the standup game Silva has considering that Silva has knocked him out of the ring twice, using nothing but his standup.
You’ve been spending too much time with Gatties..lol. Seriously I agree somewhat. Gone is the mythos that Wanderlai was some indestructable demi-god. He’s still an incredible fighter…but like all fighters, he’s got room for improvement. He will give Chuck a tough fight, espeacially if he takes this fight with cro-cop and learns from it. If I were chuck I would have much rather fought pre crocop wandy than post crocop wandy. All great fighters learn from their mistakes, I doubt Silva is any different. I can’t wait for the fight with liddel to come to fruition…going to be a war.
Haha, I haven’t completely drank the Gatties Kool-aid yet, I just don’t agree with the public opinion that Silva will walk through Liddell.
You bring up a great point though. Suffering this loss to Cro Cop will only make Silva realize his weaknesses and be that much more prepared for Liddell. Chuck hasn’t lost in quite a while and doesn’t have that recent experience to build on.

Okay we all know that comparing these fighters is a complete circle jerk because Rampage beat Chuck who beat Tito who beat Silva. So for all of you out there saying Chuck has no chance to beat Silva because of his loss to Rampage, watch the fight again. Chuck was primarily punching, and landed some good shots on Rampage before being knocked down. I imagine a second time around he would utilize kicks and knees, which is how Silva took apart Rampage. Comparing all these fighters is tough, because they all have incredible standup. The difference is that Silva and Rampage have recently lost stand-up wars (CroCop and Rua) where as Chuck has demolished his last few opponents who have tried to stand with him. However, none of them were of the caliber on Shogun or CroCop. I would give the edge to Silva, because his competition is at a higher level than Chuck’s. However, UFC rules and drug tests might prove an obstacle for Silva.
lol anyone who thinks it would be an easy fight for liddell or silva isnt living on this planet. Im a fan of both fighters, and theres alot of variables which could affect the outcome of this fight, the location, the rules, everything really. But one thing is clear! it will be an awesome fight!
I would like to see silva have some success in the octagon, but my moneys on the iceman.
They need to set up an even named simply, UFC VS PRIDE, heheh think of the amount of $$ they would make..

Let’s be honest now, the iceman is getting old( I think he’s going to be 38 soon). He’s certainly not Couture. He’s been known to gas when he was younger. Wandi got father time on his side plus the fact that he’s coming off the worse loss of his carreer, whitch will only motivate him to train harder. It doesn’t matter anyway Dana will never allow the fight to happen. Take a look at when Chuck fought in Pride. He may have won 2 out of 3, but it looked like he was in slow motion compared to the Pride fighters. Guy Metzger knocked him on his *** in the 1st round. Who from the UFC ever or could ever knock Chuck down from a strike? After getting a dose of Pride in ‘03 Dana won’t ever again make the mistake of putting Liddell against a Pride fighter. Pride has already said they will send Cro Cop to fight in Wandi’s place. Dana said ”well CroCop is a heavyweight”. Cro Cop fights at 217 pounds and agreed he would make 205 to fight Chuck. I wonder what Dana’s next excuse will be.
didn’t silva just sign a three-fight contract with the ufc?? if he did it would be a colossal let down for silva and liddell fans alike if dana kept them from fighting. PLEASE LET ME KNOW if this ‘contract’ was just heresay, as i dont remember where i heard it from although i recall it being legit. peace.

despite this outcome, wanderlei would beat chuck, and lets be honest, mirko would destroy chuck. at least in pride, the true fighting league, these fights happen. **** the ufc, **** tim sylvia, and **** chuck liddell. st. pierre will wise up and realize that the best fighters in the world fight in japan. fedor is the baddest dude in the world and if anyone wants to argue that than this website blows. holla
