Looks like Jeremy Horn is calling it quits after his recent loss to Matt Lindland.
Here is the story from GracieFighter.com:
Jeremy Horn has retired from MMA fighting. Well at least temporarily. After an astounding 98 fights and a record of 78-15-5, Horn has walked away from competition and will be taking at least a year off before possibly returning. During this time he will continue training fighters and will be very active in his teammate’s preparations for upcoming bouts.
There has been speculation that after his losses to Chuck Liddell and Matt Linland, Jeremy decided he needed time to re-focus and assess his future in the sport he has been fighting in since 1996.
We wish him the best and hope he returns soon.

I’m going to give Horn is due……. any man with his record deserves our respect, and he lasted until the fourth round with Chuck!
Way to go JH. This Bud’s for you.
he only lasted four rounds with liddel cuz liddel let him but mma is losing a warrior
@ richard
it is truly sad to see you say horn only lasted 4 rounds with liddell because liddell let him. come on man give the man some credit horn is one of the all around best fighters the mma world has ever seen! i am a huge chuck liddell fan but that is because he got the best of guys just like horn. go back and watch that fight again and you’ll probably see that jeremy horn was hurt BAD and thats why that fight ended. if horn could see properly that fight most likely would have went the distance and to me that show how good liddell is and not how bad horn is. sorry for the rant guys but it sucks hearing someone talk like jeremy horn is just some punk that chuck liddell just played with for 4 rounds.
@ RJ
No apology needed mon ami…… you are absolutely right!
and ***………..wrong again!
@Dr. J.
Hello my friend… I found an error when I tried to enter a comment on, “Frank Shamrock’s Fall From Grace”, there is no space to leave the anti-spam word, so when I try to enter anyway, I just get the error message….
The only guy I know that Chuck let last a round longer than he should is the hypester, Tito Ortiz….
I may be wrong here, but seems like I remember that Jeremy Horn was never KO’d until his match with Chuck.
and I wouldn’t even say that he was KO’d in his match with Chuck. Horn more or less threw in the towel because of his eye .
@ Dr. J.
It’s been awhile since I saw the fight, but I know what you’re saying, and that’s true.
However, Chuck did rock him and knock him on his az. I don’t think anyone else could ring his bell because of that huge Gumby hardaz head.
One more thing, then I’ll let this sleeping dog lie.
There is no shame in JH losing his last two fights. Both of these guys are champions!
…….and if you listen to some of these lesser commentators, losing to the best fighters only makes you better.
