You know how I love to keep up with the latest Nick Diaz news; well here is some more.
GracieFighter.com is reporting that Nick Diaz will be fighting in the UFC in November, which means at UFC 65.
Nick Diaz returns to the UFC in November. We will soon be naming his opponent.
UFC 65 is looking like it will be an excellent fight card. We’ll have two title fights with Tim Sylvia vs. Jeff Monson and Matt Hughes vs. Georges St. Pierre. The card will also feature Frank Mir vs. Brandon Vera and Mark Hominick vs. Joe Stevenson. Michael Bisping is also rumored to be making his UFC debut, and now you throw in Nick Diaz. Man, I hope there are no injuries and fighters pulling out, because UFC 65 could be stellar.

Hmmm…I wonder who Diaz will fight? With the current line up, Im going to assume Nick will fight as a prelim, so it will be interesting to see who they have Diaz fight.
That is great news, when i heard about the Liddell Silva fight i booked my hotel immediately. Then that fell apart and i was feeling a little bummed, but crossed my fingers for a good card. Hughes and St. Pierre… awesome. Not to mention the heavyweights and i would realy like to see Vera live, along with a Bisbing debut. Not bummed at all anymore!
This is one event that I will be planning for the next month! I think that this card may turn out to be one of if not the best card of the year! I am looking forward to seeing Frank Mir (Which Mir will show up this time?) and Vera go at it. Now that Diaz is coming back to the UFC his fight should be exciting no matter who he’s fighting.
This is turning into a very good card. I am a huge Diaz fan. He has been in there with the best fightersin the sport and no-one has been able to finish him. If he gets a little better with his stand up(just a little more pop to some of his punches) i can see him getting a title shot someday- He is very young and getting better all the time. The guy will fight whomever they put in front of him.(with little notice)
GSP and Hughes is a fight that i think every MMA fan is waiting for.
Cant wait to see Bisping in action again. Need to see how good he really is.
The Snowman and Silva might be the most boring on the card, especially if it goes to the ground. Snowman is strong as hell, but i think we would like to see the heavyweights bang it out.
Vera will run right through Mir . Can’t see this lasting more than one round.
Stevenson looks good at 155. If he wins this fight(which wont be easy - Honinick is a game fighter but if it goes to the groung i think joe will have the upper hand) he will get someone like guillard or fisher/ Who knows - maybe a shot at Sherk after that.
Then after Lidell knocks out Ortiz again, Dana has to do something to get Silva here for a fight with Chuck. This would be the biggest fight in UFC history….The Axe Murderer is one of the baddest men on the planet.(This guy will fight anyone/aytime/anywhere). He clashes with the very top heavyweights in pride and does very well.
Dana - Please make this happen
Cracker, I agree with a good portion of what you’ve said, however I am a little more optimistic in the Mir-Vera fight and Sylvia-Monson. While I agree if Mir shows up in the same condition that has been evident in the past two fights, then yes first round no question. I would like to think that Mir has learned that cardio should be his focus to get back to the top of the heavyweight division. On to Sylvia-Monson…… To my knowledge I can not remember ever seeing Sylvia on his back in a fight outside of the Arlovski fight (heel hook) which we all know what happened there. If they stay on the feet obviously Sylvia is going to have the reach advantage. I think this fight may be a little better than most would think. I would actually like to see Monson win….. simply because he is considered by many to be a huge underdog.
