Just wanted to keep everyone updated with Nick Diaz’s status. (It has become something of a novelty here at MMA HQ.)
Diaz is scheduled to fight Thomas Denny on January 20, 2007 in Miami at the American Airlines Arena on the Gracie Fighting Championship: Evolution card.

Mirko Cro Cop will join the UFC
It appears that Mirko “Cro Cop” Filopovic will be officially joining the UFC in the near future. Multiple sources are confirming that fact that Cro Cop is on his way to fight in the UFC.
Look out Tim Sylvia… Your days as heavyweight champion are numbered.

UFC buys WFA (and WEC??)
The Ultimate Fighting Championship’s official website, UFC.com, is reporting that Zuffa (UFC parent company) has “acquired select assets from the World Fighting Alliance (WFA) organization. Under the terms of the purchase, World Fighting Alliance, Inc. will cease all operations.”

David Loiseau to fight on Showtime
Last month, we reported that the UFC had ended its contract with David Loiseau Well, it looks like The Crow will be fighting in the first MMA event on Showtime this coming February.
