MMA Special tonight on MSNBC

MSNBC will air the first part of a four-part series featuring Mixed Martial Arts in the United States. The show is called Warrior Nation, and tonights airing will feature Urijah Faber and Enoch Wilson. Check it out.

MSNBC’s “Warrior Nation,” takes viewers inside the world of MMA, mixed martial arts, beginning January 9th at 10 p.m. ET. MMA, one of the fastest-growing sports in the nation, combines various fighting styles including wrestling, boxing, Tai Kwon Do, Karate and submission grappling. It’s a “no-holds-barred” combat sport that has become a successful enterprise throughout the world and has been called “the next NASCAR.” Each episode opens the door to the lives of fighters and the struggles that they endure in this popular sport. Veteran fighters, such as Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz, fans favorites, including Urijah Faber, as well as up-and-coming fighters, are portrayed. The four-part series airs each week on consecutive Tuesdays, beginning January 9th at 10 p.m. ET. “Warrior Nation” is the first of two documentary series produced by 29 Stories LLC for MSNBC.

i caught part of an episode about two weeks ago and it followed a guy that walks to the ring with a dog chain and looked about 40 he won but was a smaller show and it also followed his wife and after watching her clips makes me wonder when are we going to see women on the ufc there fights can be awesome and just as brutal sometimes as guys

There is an All Women’s MMA event February 17, 2007 in Los Angeles at the Japan America Theater. This is a California Sanctioned. The name of the event is Fatal Femmes Fighting. Tickets go on sale soon. For more info, you can go to fatalfemmesfighting.com or myspace.com/fatalfemmesfighting.
