Heath Herring returns at UFC 69

Submitted by Dr J on February 6, 2007 – 11:50 am18 Comments

Heath HerringThe “Texas Crazy Horse” Heath Herring has confirmed that he will make his second UFC appearance at UFC 69 in Houston, Texas.

Herring lost in his UFC debut at the last Ultimate Fight Night to Jake O’Brien. After the fight, Herring revealed that he had slightly torn his MCL prior to the fight, and that is why he took his rather unusual fighting stance and why he was so ineffective on the ground and at stopping O’Brien’s takedowns.

Well, Heath will get his chance to redeem himself in front of a hometown crowd at UFC 69. No official opponent has been named yet.

UFC 69 will be headlined by the Welterweight title fight between Georges St. Pierre, and The Ultimate Fighter season 4 winner, Matt Serra. Also on the card is what should be an excellent fight between Diego Sanchez and Josh Koscheck.
