Forest Griffin confirmed on his myspace.com blog that he will be fighting Ryoto Machida at UFC 70 in Manchester, England this April. Griffin is, of course, coming off a loss to Keith Jardin at UFC 66 while Ryoto Machida is coming off a victory over Sam Hoger at UFC 67.
In the Heavyweight division, the UFC has confimed that former heavyweight champion Andre Arlovski will fight PrideFC veteran Fabricio Werdum. Werdum will make his UFC debut and his coming off a victory over Aleksander Emelianenko this past November. Arlovksi last fought at UFC 66 where he defeated Marcio Cruz in the first round. This should be an excellent heavyweight battle and the winner of this fight should be at the top of the food chain to fight the winner of the Mirko Cro Cop vs. Tim Sylvia/Randy Couture title fight (assuming of course that Cro Cop defeats Gabriel Gonzaga at UFC 70).

These should be some good fights. Arlovski vs Werdum should be a great battle but I think Arlovski will pull it off. Mirko should take Gonzaga without to much trouble so it might set up a big fight between the two. Tim should get by Randy so his title will really be on the line next time. He’s been getting pretty confident lately in his interviews and he knows what’s next after Randy so he ust be training hard. Crocop should have the belt by mid summer at the latest unless there is a major upset.
