Personally I’m excited this is happening. The UFC is going to do good things with Pride and it will be exciting seeing some Pride stars in the octagon. I’m sure Pide’s stars wil stay because the UFC is going to pay the best money. I don’t see Elite or Bodog taking to many fighters from Pride’s stable of world class athletes. We may see Fedor vs Crocop 2 sooner than we thought. I wonder if the UFC will strip the belts like they did in the WEC and make everyone reearn them. I could see them taking one of Hendo’s belts because it’s kinda silly to try and defende belts in two weight classes. I guess Dana will be able to get the Silva vs Liddell fight now even though it’s lost a little thunder after Silva’s last two KO’s. They way the IFL is structured it doesn’t seem like they can pick up many free agents considering they have teams already in place and someone would have to lose their spot on the team which wouldn’t be fair. Speaking of the IFL I was pretty impressed with the way they have cleaned up battleground. I watched again last night and must admitt it was a pretty good show. They showed the superfight between Renzo Gracie and Pat M and Renzo pulled off a pretty sweet guillitine on him. They are actually showing fights in their entirety with the clock shown and when they didn’t they told you they were highlights instead of trying to pass it off as the entire fight. This is going to be the best year in MMA history.

OH mon dieu ceci est grand!!! they are talking of some big, big, big fights. gomi vs. st.pierre, fedor vs. couture, henderson vs. anderson, liddell vs. wanderlei. champ vs. champ, star vs. star, i cant wait! does this mean unified titles? i can see fedor walking down to the ring or octagon with a ufc title over on shoulder and a pride title over the other. can you imagine dan henderson beating anderson silva for his title that would be just nuts. so now lets jump the gun a bit who would you like to see step in together? who would you like to see fight in a ring and who do you want to see fight in an octagon? the one i want to see is wanderlei silva vs. tito ortiz 2 in an octagon because i think silva can win it this time. and i would also like to see liddell vs. rampage in a ring for the same reason. i know your all thinking rampage and liddell are already set to go soon but if liddell wins this time we need the rubber match and why not take it back to the start. and your probably thinking about the silva k.o. loses lately but i dont care he still rules and two bad fights doesnt count for everything. i also really want to see a half pride half ufc open weight gp to get an idea of who the real king of the hill is (i got my money fedor…duh) all i know is if the powers the be listen to the fans the second half of ‘07 and all of ‘08 should be very good times to be an mma fan!

and as far as price for a “superbowl” event goes i’m not worried bring it on no matter what the cost. just remember the price will never get too high because of this internet thing bootlegging is to easy and zuffa wants to make mma bigger not kill it.

yeah, but the ESPN article is just an Associated Press piece, so they probably just picked it up off of PR News Wire. I wouldn’t read too much into the ESPN thing like a lot of other sites are today.

That’s true just thought it was cool seeing it there. I hope the Fertitas keep their word and keep Pride going and make it stronger. They said they are going to use the ring for Pride events and the cage for UFC events but that Pride will adopt UFC rules. No more stomps or kicks on the ground but they will be able to use elbows. This should make everything more equal for all fighters especially if they are going to let fighters compete in both organizations. I heard Silva has been cleared by the NSAC to compete in the last Pride show. I’m kinda sad for the die hard Pride fans but I think that this is the best thing for the fans. Now it sounds like there will be a world title belt that will be competed for by both organizations each year and put all the “who really is the best” debates to rest. It’s a little sad because the Pride vs UFC debates and fighters has went on so long people are going to have less to argue about but that’s a good thing. I just hope that they treat the athletes with the same respect and continue to pay them what they are worth even though there is not much competition left for the fighters to choose from.

The idea of Dennis Kang vs. Rich Franklin gets me excited…

So I tried getting tickets for UFC71, so far they have only been released pre-sale for UFC Fight Club members. Not being a member, I find it very frustrating, since I am only able to buy tickets along with a subscription to the club for an additional $69.95 on top of the minimum ticket price of $500 a seat. And, of course, I am positive that when tickets go on sale to the general public, they will be sold out in a few minutes and bad seats only. HAS ANYONE EVER HAD ANY EXPERIENCE BUYING UFC TICKETS? OR BEEN TO THE MGM GRAND IN VEGAS FOR SUCH AN EVENT THAT CAN OFFER ANY SUGGESTIONS OR THOUGHTS ABOUT THE SEATING THERE?

first MAD i got to give u props this super fight list is awesome Dennis kang is a fighter that ive had my eye on and even though he had a rough start just shows even if u lose 5or 6 or 7 dont cont someone out Kang will do big things this year,but i have to disagree on taking one of the belts of hollywood the mans earned it if someone wants it take it he shouldnt be stripped i would actually like to see henderson vs liddel the mans got two belts for a reason

If he was Rich Franklin the cab driver, he would get less than market value for his car. But he’s Rich Franklin the MMA Superstar, so he figures he will get more than market value for the car.

People sell their cars all the time and celebs are no different. Its not unusual so don’t see this as nothing more than what it actually is…a guy who wants to sell his car and get the most money possible for it. If I were famous and wanted to sell my crappy honda civic, I’d do the same thing.

I just read that Tito pulled out of the fight with Dana because he wasn’t getting payed. I thought he hated Dana enough to want to beat him up a little even if it was for free. Tito seems like he’s getting greedy and his skills are not at the top level anymore. He sells tickets and PPV from his personality now not his fighting ability. Now that the UFC has pride it puts Tito even farther down the ranks. I thought he would do it just to get a crack at Dana. He even went as far as saying he couldn’t risk being hurt because he has a fight with Rashad this summer. Being hurt in a three round boxing match against Dana? I lost a little respect for Tito for that one.

yeah jason i know what u mean but tim caught some sh*it on this site for selling his xbox 360 i just wondering if it was cause nobody likes tim or when u become famous u have some sort of obligation to not do things for money now a 80,ooo dollar hummer is different than a 800 dollar xbox so i can see the difference i almost forgot the guys need to make money themselves
