Yeah the Pride represented in that video is gone for good. Most of the great match ups will be reserved for the cage, with watered down rules. We’ll wonder in big fights if so and so would have caught knee going for that take down. We’ll likely never see again how devastating side control or north south can be. Guys like Travis Lutter wouldn’t make it 30 seconds under Pride rules. It’s kind of sad to see an era go, but my dissapointment is far over shadowed by the potential dream fights that await us in the coming years. The thought of seeing Fedor, cro-cop, Silva, Kang, Aoki, Arona, or a motivated Gomi destroying the rank and file of the UFC gets me all misty eyed. Every TUF fighter collectivly **** their pants at the announcement of the ufc buying Pride. Have fun on spike and in the WEC boys..cause your days on PPV just got shortened.

that video was awesome it almost brought a tear to my eye. i dont see pride as dead but it is the end of an era. we are not losing our favorite fighters and there not losing the fans they have. at the end of every era is the start of a new one. and i dont think the rule changes are that bad most fight orgs already use these same rules and some of them dont even allow elbows. the no stomps and soccer kick will only effect a small group of fighters because most of the pride fighter dont even use them or dont use them much.

i just read on mmaweekly that all the things that made pride pride are out so pride is out lets call the new pride the ufc uglier younger brother

yea like i said in a previous post, without the pride rules, theres not much point, they should just dissolve pride and sign all the best talent to the UFC. Make for more accurate rankings.

thank you for back peddling on the “retarded” thing. i have had the honer to spend a bunch of time with lots of different “handicapped” people and they were some of the smartest people i have met. my oldest son has Cerebral palsy and was able to easily spell words like deoxyribonucleic acid (that is the long way to spell D.N.A.) by the time he was 5.

im sorry bro, how did i do that? i try real hard not to put people down even when they are being dumb. most of the time when some one says something stupid on here i just try to show them the light. except in the case of personal attacks then i might call them a name or two.
