Forums Fixed

April 26th, 2007 | by Dr J

Well, I jumped the gun a little yesterday with the announcement on the forums. It appears that about half of you that signed up early in the day never actually got your registration email with the login information. The other half of you got the information fine. Well, I’m pretty sure I’ve fixed the problem.

If you never got the registration email, just go to the forums (www.mmahq.com/forums) and try to login with the username you created yesterday. If the login fails, you will see a reset password button at the bottom. Just click this and you should get an email with instructions on how to reset your password and login.

Sorry for the confusion. Hopefully everyone can login to the forums now… I think RJ is getting lonely posting there by himself.

@RICHARD,

I can manually verify your account now if you want. You could then login and change your password after that. The only problem is I would have to email you your current password so you can login. I wouldn’t want to post your password here in the comments, otherwise anyone could grab it.

If you have access to any other email right now, send me an email at drj [at] mmahq [dot] com and I’ll send you your password.

I think another MAJOR upset was when sokoudjou took out nogueira, then Arona! those are both huge upsets..

@Dr. J

yea, dont think i mentioned it, but that WAS a great post about parity, we can all say its the year of the underdogs, but what are the reprecussions of whats happening?

I don’t think all these upsets are good for MMA. It leaves a shocked and sour taste in your mouth after something like Cro Cop/Gonzaga happens. When Serra beat GSP all I could say was that was so dumb, why did GSP train so hard and win so many fights all in culmination of him being the future of the sport and beating Matt Hughes, and then lose it in his first title defense to what many considered a nobody? The other thing is when you have Dana White in an interview describing Cro Cop to UFC audiences as a Heavy Weight Chuck Liddell and hyping the guy up to be the greatest in the world, the next champ, superman if you will, then he gets knocked out in his 2nd fight in the UFC against a largely unknown fighter in such a way that he makes the all time best knockouts list for MMA, and he is on the receiving end!.. Not good people.. sorry, it discredits anything that Dana says and it steals the thunder of the UFC gaining big name fighters when those fighters all turn out to be mediocre or duds all together.

heh yea i agree with you there Kansas.. it does make Dana look kind of stupid lol, if any of us were in his position the exact same thing would happen. Especially regarding the pride fighters, for some new potential fans to the sport who dont know about pride, first hearing about Heath Herring, then Rampage, now Mirko.. They might not see it as some strange anomaly of underdogs, but more like HYPE, which is sure to turn anyone off.. except maybe wwf fans.. or watever its called these days
