I know we are only mere hours after Chuck Liddell losing his UFC Light Heavyweight, but there appears to be some exciting news for Liddell fans.
It appears that the “dream fight” between Chuck Liddell and Wanderlei Silva that we were all promised several months ago, might in fact now happen. Might… I said might happen, so don’t take this as fact just yet.
During the post-fight press conference, UFC President Dana White said that the Liddell-Silva fight might be just around the corner.
Liddell said after [that] he planned to continue fighting, with UFC president Dana White saying Brazilian Wanderlei Silva would be his likely next opponent.
Now, Wanderlei Silva recently said he was planning on taking the rest of 2007 off, but I’m sure the UFC could throw enough money his way to convince him to fight. This fight didn’t make much sense before last night, as Silva has been KO’d in his last two fights and Chuck was on his winning streak. But now with Liddell getting KO’d and losing his belt, it seems like the atmosphere is ripe for the Liddell vs Silva fight we have been looking to see for a while.

I cant see this fight happening in 2007 bro, if UFC offers him big money he will probably agree to it for 2008 giving him time to train also. Maybe in another Ultimate Japan type card? after the pride deal doesnt go through..
Wand has needed a reason to win and to prove himself, after 5 years at the top the only “challenge” he had was at lopsided grand prix tourneys with people larger than him. So with that behind and an open door to prove himself against Liddell, I think he will take the fight by end of 2007 and there will be fireworks.
Yeah buddy, after Wand wins, I guarantee there will be a rematch with Henderson or a 3rd fight with Rampage, at any rate Wand is going to be champ again..

The chances of me meeting them are slim .. maybe some of their sparring partners but it’s really a long shot, I do have some friends in Anapolis, Goiania, and Brazilia that I used to train BJJ with so I know I will train with them, I am taking 6 of my students with me too so they will get to meet some of my old BJJ partners.. but as far as meeting Wand or Shogun, it’s slim bud ..
I think Shogun is in L.A. right now anyways training with Chuteboxe out there…
As far as the women go.. yeah, they are the sexiest women in the world.. bar none, I went to the beach and I felt like I was walking through a porn film, I almost felt uncomfortable because I was with wife and family and I had to keep staring down at the sand… lol .. the women noticed I was American and speaking English and they kept trying to talk to me, they all wear thongs, string thongs and barely a top so yeah ….
To say who cares about the possible Liddell / Silva matchup is dumb…. who cares about Shogun fighting Liddell? Neither are champions right.. well it would be a darn good fight and so would the Wand Liddell fight.. I would love to see that fight, as a matter of fact it could headline a UFC PPV and sell more tickets and PPV than a title fight I think … lol … wouldn’t it just be fun to WATCH that fight go down, man to finally see Chuck fight top notch top 5 fighters that strike and to see Wand fight one of the UFC’s top guys…
I also think seeing Wand drop to 185 and fight Anderson Silva would be great, two Muay Thai fighters going head to head.. wow..
Oh lord fellas!!!!! Man i was mad all weekend that chuck lost. Then when i got to the bar and was trying to drown my sorros, they replayed that **** on espn like 10 times!!!!lol Sike but really all that fight showed me was that chuck got hit with a good punch that he usally dont get hit with, but now chuck MUST go back to the drawing board and just work on his defense, i dont think he needs to work on anything else, because if chuck wouldave hit rampage with that shot rampage would have been out. But good fight while it lasted!!!!!!!!!!! but i dont know about fighting all the young guys, i think chuck needs MAYBE fight wanderlei and that is it. But it was fun watching him fight all those years

@rich, yea i hear ya bro, but i donno, you think chuck could survive with all the up comming talent comming in, and randy has a style that can pull out some wins with his wrestling ya now. But chuck may have little more difficulty with the lhw being so deep. I mean randy knew that hw was a big IF and it obviously didnt take much to dethrone the so called HW champ. But now randy may have it cut out for him to now that dana is acuiring all these new fighters. Chuck is gonna have to go through a lot tuffer road and he is going to have to go through a lot tuffer opponents to get back to where he was whereas randy may have to go through a tuff road depending on who dana can get over there. So i donno yea chuck may have some years left in em but these guys are gonna test his will though
How can ppl say if chuck lost to rampage he will lose to wanderlei, thats just ignorant and stupid, in the world of mma anyone can win or lose at anytime with the right punch or kick, just look at the cro cop fight, chuck got nailed with a punch, now the same could of happened to rampage.

Rampage has already won that, and you know what, in order to best Rampage on wins, Chuck would have to win 3 straight against him now.. so … its been put to bed, Chuck cannot beat Rampage now, he couldn’t beat him then, and tomorrow, he will be older and Rampage is not even 30 yet so it’s all about Chuck fighting Wand now… and I thinks it will be a good showdown..
i just wanna see liddell and silva put on a good show. make it a three round war, doesnt even matter who wins and then a year later put them in again for one last big showdown. that what i would like to see because liddell doesnt have to many more years left so why not get rid of that one last big question mark in his career.

My father talked to Siva at his gym in Curtiba Brazil yesterday and he said the fight is scheduled for September 22nd of this year.
