He’s not exactly the steroid type…seriously. All the Gracies have volatile opposition to the use of them. I’m suspect of the results, but admit I’m severely biased. I guess we’ll wait for the appeal, here’s to hoping it was for medical reasons.

yea it kind of did suck (manny’fight) but at the end i thought he wasn gonna loose and it kind of got kind of exciting because the fight turned around so quick, but hey i look at it like manny is going to be a difficult oppent for anybody because he is so little and low-center-gravity, you know? It will be easier to stand over someone and punch down for him whereas someone taller has to reach and take a risk, ex.matt serra when he fought gsp. but if manny does what he does to nate that he did to joe then he will have a chance, because he is strong,but he will also have to be alert because of nates soooo many submission attemps! But did you see joe’s excape techniques? They were awsome!! my girl was even all impressed over them escapes, joe is very tech. sound.

I have to admit I assumed Nate was a punk like his brother, always looking for trouble and no respect for anyone. However, I was very impressed with the way he handled the situation with Karo. I’m sure many idiots will say that he acted like a ***** and should have punched Karo in the face, but I disagree. I think it took a bigger man to step away. I lost all respect for Karo last night. He showed what a bully he is…I never realized how much **** he talks and how full of himself he really is. @ UFC 71, everyone was booing him after he started singing how he has the best Judo throws in the world …lol

damn it royce! this man has been one of my hero’s since i was a teenager. it really sucked to watch him get his asss handed to him by hughes but i could still respect him for it but come on dude this is lame!

dam, i had picked Gray to win this season.. He should have finished Diaz off easily, but hes too nice of a guy lol. Hes a good fighter but he doesnt have that killer instinct.. that could have been the final! great fight, good job by Diaz coming back too. Im gon have to take Diaz over Manny in the final tho..

yea, the way Karo was slapping Nate around is common with europeans and not meant to be disrespectful.. nate understood about it too the first couple of times.. but its like he was slapping him and manhandling him everytime he saw him lol. I think Manny will win a decision over Diaz, basically because all he does is swarm his taller opponents and lay on top of them for 15min. I still haven’t seen Manny land a clean strike or make a submission attempt in any of his fights. Even though Nate is a much superior submission artist, I think that Manny’s small stature (small limbs, powerful torso for balance) will make it very difficult for Nate to lock onto anything and hold on to. I think Manny is a very boring fighter who looks like he keeps busy on the ground, but actually does not do much. However, he is very very strong and is a tough target for anyone taller than him (almost everybody) to connect. His tactic is “fierce smothering”.

that was a good summary of mannys fighting style they should of put gray vs manny and had joe vs nate those fights would have been better.I got a question for u amir are u black i heard before that u were black but in the pictures if that is u ,u aint black

i think that if manny gets tired like he did with gray, then i think nate can finish him easy. But i think that because nate kind of bends his legs when he fights(with tall or short fighters) i think that it could be an interesting fight. I think if nate goes in there focused and ready then he can whether the manny onslaught. Nate was just as busy with gray swarming over him just as much as manny swarms, and i think gray was moving just most of the time because he was trying to get out of the plethera of submissons nate was attempting. If nate can get manny to fight to survive rather fight to win like in manny’s last fights he can beat and maybe submit manny. But manny is a tank though

I love the Royce Gracie legend…. I am biased…. and I am hoping they will appeal and win…. they found “traces” of this right…. like they found “traces” in Landis’ piss test in France right? ROYCE GRACIE regarding the “steroid scandal”:
“I am waiting to receive the official report from the CSAC on the findings,” Gracie said in an e-mail Friday. “Once the report is received, it will be reviewed.”

“I will appeal the decision for sure, I have been a fighter for 14 years and have never taken any illegal substances, so I am sure this is just a misunderstanding.”

LMFAO…no I am not black…not that there’s anything wrong with that…I’m just curious what would make someone think that. I’m the guy in the pic with Brandon Melendez and Big John. My boy is in the pic with Chuck, who was out at the same club we were that night, partying it up. The funny thing is that my friend is only about an inch or two taller than I (5′8-5′9) and he said Chuck was not as big as he thought. If you even look at the pic, you can see there is not much of a height difference between them.

The California State Athletic Commission today released a statement in regards to Royce Gracie’s recent positive test results concerning his K-1 fight against Kazushi Sakuraba. Initial reports indicated that Gracie had tested positive for Nandrolone, a steroid that occurs naturally in the human body, but did not include detailed information other than the positive result.

Today’s statement answered questions regarding the results being borderline or a false positive. According to the CSAC, they contacted the laboratory that performed the testing and obtained specific, detailed information about the test and results.

The statement read that, “A normal person could have a level of 2 ng/mL of Nandrolone that the human body could potentially produce and an athlete that has just completed rigorous physical exercise could have a level of 6 ng/mL.

“We received a written response from the laboratory’s Director of Science and Technology confirming the positive ‘A’ sample and positive ‘B’ sample.

Both samples provided by Mr. Gracie had a level of over 50 ng/mL and we were informed that the level itself was so elevated that it would not register on the laboratory’s calibrator.”

Following initial reports of the positive results, Gracie maintained his innocence, commenting to Sherdog.com Editor Josh Gross that he had taken supplements that are available at GNC, but nothing else and would not consider doing such.

With all of the speculation since the initial reporting of the result, there has been much speculation. CSAC Executive Director Armando Garcia told MMAWeekly, “Yes, the statement [detailing the results] was to answer any question as to whether the test indicated a trace or possibly a false positive.”

In other words “FALSE POSITIVE” … GRACIE IS INNOCENT, THE CSAC HAS VIRTUALLY CLEARED HIM .. THE HEADLINE OF THIS THREAD IS NOT TRUE..

has any one else noticed the UFC’s website event list they dont have anything for UFC74 but they have UFC75 up already. the last i heard UFC74 is going to be Couture vs. Gonzaga but they dont say anything about it. maybe there just too pumped about the whole Pride vs. UFC title fight.
