Josh Gross at Sherdog.com is now reporting that Murilo “Ninja” Rua will likely be allowed to fight this Friday night on the Strikeforce/EliteXC fight card. Last Friday, EliteXC announced the Rua would be off the card after he failed his physical with the California State Athletic Commission. EliteXC immediately was able to sign Falaniko Vitale to replace Rua and fight Joey Villasenor.
According to the Sherdog.com report:
Both California State Athletic Commission Executive Officer Armando Garcia and Vitale’s agent, Ken Pavia, told Sherdog.com Tuesday evening that medical questions surrounding Murilo Rua were likely resolved, and that if things progressed down their current track “Ninja” would face Villasenor on the co-promoted Strikeforce/EliteXC card on June 22.

does anyone know what caused him to fail his physical? i know most fighters would kill them selfs to hide an injury from the commission doctors if there willing to try to fight hurt.
I haven’t found any news on the exact reason he failed. It obviously couldn’t have been anything to severe if he is being allowed to be retested and cleared.
this ppv is going to be awesome guys get it
