World Extreme Cagefighting has officially announced their next event to be held on August 5 in Las Vegas Nevada. The WEC show will be headlined by two title fights and will be shown live on The Versus Network at 9pm EST.
The WEC welterweight belt will be on the line when current champion Carlos Condit faces Brock Larson. This fight originally was scheduled to take place last month, but Condit had to withdraw due to injury.
The vacant WEC middleweight title will also be on the line when Paulo Filho takes on Joe Doerksen. Filho is widely regarded as one of the top 3 middleweights in the world and will be making his USA and WEC debut against Doerksen, MMA veteran from Canada.
The rest of the fight card has not been officially announced, but other expected matchups include Jeff Curran vs. Stephen Ledbetter, Eric Schambari vs. Logan Clark, and Tiki Ghosn vs. Blas Avena
