Jens Pulver suffered a serious knee injury while training for his upcoming fight at WEC 30 against Cub Swanson and has been forced to withdraw from the fight card.
Pulver was scheduled to make his WEC debut and his return to the 145lb Featherweight division after his recent loss at Lightweight against BJ Penn.
The severity of Pulver’s injury is not yet known and Jens is scheduled to have an MRI later this week to determine what course of action he will take for recovery.
WEC 30 is scheduled for September 5th in Las Vegas and is headlined by two title fights when current WEC Lightweight champion Rob McCullough takes on Rich Crunkilton and current WEC Bantamweight (135lb) champ Chase Beebe fights Rani Yahya.

I was looking forward to Jens fighting at his natural weight. Cub looked prety tough so I was interested to see how Jens was going to match up. I don’t see Jens being able to take the belt from Faber but he would add some depth and excitment to that division.
Yeah..I was wanting to see how could he could do, I just hope his knee injury doesn’t end his fighting days. You never know with a knee injury.
