I don’t see how Cummo makes twice what Din did. I would think Din is a better fighter with better name recognition so he deserves more. Even Kenny seems like he’s getting robbed. He’s one of the best 155ers the ufc has right now and theur paying Nate Diaz more? I would take Kenny over Diaz easily for the next couple of years. Diaz is good but he will need more experience before taking on top competition. I don’t understand the UFC pay scale some times. Maybe Din and Kenny need better negotiators when their up for their next contract.
@Dr J
Do you know what the pay outs were for the EliteXC event last Saturday? I was just curious to see what they are paying fighters compared to the UFC.

The EliteXC numbers haven’t been released and they probably won’t be since the event was held in Hawaii and there is not regulating commission in Hawaii.
Cool thanks, I was just wondering.
ya MAD, but Nate won TUF 5, thats why his first contract with the UFC is so high. Its supposed to be 6 figures, judging by the amount he got, does that mean he will get like 30K per fight, 3 fights a year? It hasnt been made very clear how those contracts breakdown.
this is totally off topic but here i go anyways. i have been reading a lot of message boards about the lack of commentary in round 1 of Sell vs. Quarry and most people agree they liked it. i thought it was great and would like for it to happen again. but we all know if we didnt have it at all we would miss it and the UFC is never gonna go without commentary. so here is my idea…
one fight in every pay per view (maybe the first fight) have it two unknowns fight commentary free. we could get a much better idea of how they fight as opposed to listening to there background history, save that for there next fight. im thinking of sending an email to Zuffa with this idea just to see and if everyone else that likes this idea does the same we might make it happen. let me know what you guys this about this idea good or bad.
i liked it too, reminiscant of abu dhabi matches, judo and sport jujitsu. I dont think it will ever be a standard in the UFC because they want people to see it as a sport not a spectacle. When theres commentary, the guys can atleast talk about whats going on, especially for people who dont understand grappling.
I think the solution to this problem isnt no commentators, but BETTER commentators hehe. Rogans cool and everything, i have no problem with him personally, if nothing else, hes a huge mma fan and he has knowledge of grappling techniques. Goldberg on the other hand, i find him rather annoying, mostly hes there to make announcements of the next event, or mention the sponsors, etc.. thats all understandable.. Its when he tries to analyze the fights that he is greatly lacking!!
I personally think Bas is the man, UFC should get him in there.. efveryone likes him, everyone respects him.
Anyone else have suggestions for who they would nominate as a new UFC commentator??
i like the Bas/Mauro on PRIDE they made a good team. but then again Bas and anyone is gonna work, maybe Bas and Randy would make a good team.
oh man im sitting here listening to Tank Abbott live, uncut, and drunk on sherdog radio and i cant stop laughing Tank is too f*ckin funny. if you get a chance to download this thing do it!! Tank rips on Tito, Joe Silva, juicers, and just about everyone else. he says if you give him 4 to 6 months he will take on Fedor an calls Kimbo a gey Mr.T lol you gotta hear this sh*t!!
