Gabriel Gonzaga put Team Link and Ludlow, MA earlier this year with his quick rise in the heavyweight division. Team Link (in my home state of Massachusetts) has recently added current WEC Middleweight champion Paulo Filho and undefeated UFC light heavyweight Thiago Silva to their team making Link one of the strongest BJJ camps in the country.
In Jason Remillard’s article in MassLive.com about the additions to Team Link, he mentions that Filho’s next fight will be against Frank Trigg on December 12 in Las Vegas. I did mention this fight possibility last week, and although we still haven’t received confirmation from the WEC, it appears the fight might be happening.
The December 12 WEC show is currently scheduled to feature a featherweight title fight between current WEC champion Urijah Faber and Jeff Curran and WEC featherweight debut of Jens Pulver as he takes on Cub Swanson.

I have to go with Filho on this one. Trigg is a game opponent but I don’t see him winning this fight. The WEC is starting to get some good talent lately and should make for good fight cards. Faber is still a beast and I don’t think Curran will take his belt.

Faber and Filho to win.. curran cant cut the mustard, and Trigg still cant defend the rear naked choke lol. I mean i have respect for the guy as a fighter, but ive never been a fan..
