After months and months of trying, the UFC has finally managed to enter New York’s fabled Madison Square Garden.
Oh, don’t be mistaken. Mixed Martial Arts competitions are still illegal in the state of New York. Instead, the UFC is going to be showing UFC 79 live at Madison Square Garden on their bigscreens.
For $30 a ticket you can sit at MSG and watch the fights with a bunch of rowdy New Yorkers. And, guess what! Matt Serra is going to be there as well. I guess if you can’t actually fight at UFC 79, the next best thing would be watching it on a jumbotron with a bunch of guys you don’t know down in Manhattan.
If this sounds like a night of fun, you can buy tickets online. And don’t forget to show up early for the Q&A session with Matt Serra at 8:30pm. I’m sure some fabulous questions will be asked by all those in attendance…

COOL
Yeah great. I can already hear the squeaky Serra talking smack about Matt Hughes on a microphone. I guess you would have to be a New Yorker to enjoy that commentating, well unless they could beep him out like in TUF……LOL.

more than a little, BV. it was dripping with sarcasm. subtle but sarcasm nonetheless
lol… I admire the creative aspect that Dana and Zuffa are incrementally working their way into NY hoping to eventually garner sanctioning, but the whole SERRA pitch… haha! Funny stuff! I would HATE to be there.. losers
