Talking about TUF, i came across this nice audio inteview with Hughes talking about how he felt about this past season. He doesnt say anything about UFC 79 or GSP or anything like that, just TUF and Serra etc.. Still a good interview like 15min long.

i see a replay of george vs speer fight last night ,and man that guys eye was red and closing shut he really should of took more time

Yea the eye gouge was pretty bad. George should have taken more time to recover especially for as much that was at stake in the fight. Tommy is tough but Mac should be able to submit him. All Tommy has is ground and pound or lay and pray most of the time. I have to give him credit for being tough though. I though he was going to tap in his first two fights but he managed to escape.

who do you think would be the next coaches for the next season of TUF or who would you want to be the next coaches for the next TUF season?

for me…Quinton jackson would be entertaining to see him there against tito ortiz or dan henderson

i think some of the credit has to go to Mazzagatti.. that guys a tough ref man, he doesnt even let them be inactive. He pushes them on the ground and whenever they stop he stands them up.

i got this one on the playground too 1st round sub. too predictable tho, it would have been a much better fight if it was Mac vs George. I think Tommy should have worked his eye poke in this fight lol.

thats what im saying i knew Huerta could step up, and i think he will continue to step it up. i had Huerta by decision and i was a bit worried by the end of the second but damn he hung in there and pulled it off. good f*ckin fight!

i had Huerta by decision too RJ, but Guida fought like a beast man, mad respect to Guida in that fight and of course Roger pulled that win out of his azzz right at the end.. amazing fight.

ok so its gonna be Forrest and Rampage, then Forrest is getting a title shot.. wow. I like Forrest, but i dont think hes got enough experience to be considered a coach when theres SO MANY other guys with alot more to offer younger guys. Then again, theyre probably not willing to go through the BS of not seeing their family and stuff for that long..

I’m calling it right now, the other coach for next season’s TUF and Forrest Griffin’s next opponent will be:

Quentin “Rampage” Jackson

My only question is, by the time next season starts and ends, won’t that be like 2 years since Forrest fought Shogun?

No it wont be 2 years, theres usually 2 seasons of TUF a year, so call it 6 months, plus a few months since he fought Shogun, plus a few months training, probably about a year.

Lol…you posted that 1 min. before mine. Anyways, that’s still a ridiculously long time to wait for that fight. Also, I don’t expect another season of TUF to start anytime soon especially since there is “unresolved” business with the Serra injury. I don’t think it would be a good marketing campain without an official closure to this season, which would be culminated by Hughes vs. Serra. I think starting another season, even if its a few months from now, would be overkill.

Can you post the results of who came out on top on the fantasy game?

mmaplayground robbed me of some points. I had Danzig by submission in the 3rd, and they only awarded me 5 pts. instead of 7pts. Has anyone ever had that happen to them?

i just had a thought… what if they named Rashad Evans as the other coach and at the end they fight for number 1 contender. i know a lot of the hardcores would laugh at that idea but hear me out. it makes sense for a bunch of reasons season 1 winner vs. season 2 winner, nether deserves a title shot just yet but the UFC is pumping them both up that way anyways so give them one more hype up bout before letting them jump in with Rampage. it would be good for the UFC marketing machine to have two former TUF stars to come back and coach TUF its kinda like recycling lol. anyways theres a very good chance Rampage is the other coach so this is all a moot point i was just thinking out loud.
