I believe Amir called this one yesterday. Hopefully Chuck does better against Rashad than he did against Jardine. Greg Jackson trains both so Rashad may come in with a good game plan also. Chuck should be able to take Rashad but anything can happen. Evans does not seem to have near the power Chuck has so he probably won’t stand with him like Jardine but Chuck is really hard to take down and even harder to keep down. If Chuch doesn’t knock him out he will probably win a decision.

im going with decision(chuck). Once rashad (i think) feels that power i think it will turn into a cat and mouse game and rashad will start to retreat and turn counter-puncher. It would be dumb to fight chuck like he fought tito, because he didnt have nothing REALLY to worry about standing with tito. But im pretty sure jardine told him about the power so he will have that in the back of his mind.

but i also believe that if chuck goes in there not at the top and on point it will be a randy/chuckI all over again. But i hope it is a good one.

Chuck via decision… another boring fight.. not excited about this one, not going to pay the money for it, will probably just catch it at a friends or the local sports club..

This fight sucks.. it is gonna be the best take down sprawl in MMA against a guy who could barely beat TITO (by a controversial point removal) .. I mean Rashad is getting tested here, like he did with Tito, but Chuck.. eesh, this is smooth sailing for Chuck.. and only 3 rounds.. hehe.. Liddell is gonna stomp Rashad, who the heck can point out why it would go any differently …

Sorry to disappoint but this will be a boring fight for 2 reasons.
1) Rashad and chuck are both defensive fighters. Chuck knocks people out while back paddling (rashad will not charge, hence chuck won’t be back paddling). In fact if chuck move forward, rashad will run. So chuck won’t reach him, so no knock out. This is especially true since jardine will let rashad knows chuck’s punching power.
2) Rashad knows chuck cannot be taken down. So he won’t border to try. Rashad game plan will be to counterpunch if cornered. Otherwise, conserve energy and run for 15 min.
Verdict: Chuck win by decision with crowd booing over the whole 15 min fight. Unless, chuck got tired while trying to run after rashad, rashad has no chance in winning this.

I can’t believe this. This is chuck fighting can stylistically. Ideally, machida will be the best opponent if this is going to be a title contention fight. Chuck will lose to machida by submission! Since machida not available, Sokoudjou should be a fair opponent to make an exciting fight.

I think that if…wait…when chuck wins this fight, i think he will fight machida for number 1 contender., because that is the only way it can go in my opinion, assuming machida gets past tito, but before that i think it will be jardine, just cause chuck wants the rematch. But i think it will be chuck/machida for the #1 contender.

The only fight that i think can be an exciting fight with chuck would be rampage/wandy, but other than that every fighter i think that chuck fights is just another cat and mouse game because they respect chucks power too much. Unless you have the hatred like babalou or something…….

wow a lot of you guys are talking about Chuck getting another shot at the title. im not going to say Liddell doesnt deserve a shot, but im getting a bit sick of seeing the same guys fight for titles all the time. there is all kinds of talent in the light heavy weight div. lets see some of these guys get there opportunity to wear gold. Jardine should get a shot SOON, as far as UFC logic goes Jardine deserves a shot now he beat the guy who is fighting for the title next AND he beat the guys who held the title forever.

well i wish we had more talent in the ufc, i mean dana brought over wandy..you see what happend…he brought over his buddy(shogun)and you see what happend….and they WERE supposed to get immediate title shots if they won their debut big fights. So that is not chucks fault that they cant win..ha..who else deserves and title shot? Machida?..i can see him getting a shot, but other than that who?????? JARDINE????? Ok he beat chuck and chuck wasnt even in the top three to get the title shot at the time. Im not saying chuck deserves one RIGHT NOW, i think he needs to beat jarding..assuming he gets past wandy, and machida, assuming he gets past tito. And maybe a fight with forest, before he gets his shot. But if he gets past an undefeated rashad then maybe one or two fights before title shot.

I think Machida should get a title shot before Jardine, simply for that whole Houston Alexander “incident”. Machida has still not lost, and I doubt he will lose to Tito…even though Tito will do his absolute best to give a large FU to the UFC’s golden boy on his departure, Machida is just too technically sound for Ortiz. Machida wins a decision and should get the shot next, if not, Jardine is deserving after that.

if anybody gets a shot i do think it could be jardine, but jardine will get a rematch with chuck then i think the winner fights machida for the #1 spot.(assuming they get passed their next bouts. But machida only beat one top 10 contender and i think that makes a difference in joe silva’s eyes. “IF” jardine gets past wandy, then jardine will get the shot, but if not, i think it would be chuck/jardine, rubber match, then winner gets machida for the number one spot for the contendership to fight for the title.

chuck will get the title shot if he wins why wouldn’t he when chuck has the belt then there will be a jardine vs liddell 2 todd so your saying if chuck wins and machida loses you think they should still fight for the number one contender n ot going to happen if they both win chuck will still get the title fight before him

Shogun would of been easier than evans i dont think there is one person in that divison that chuck cant beat everyone wants to fight him cause they think if they beat chuck then they get a title fight jardine caught chuck at the wrong time chuck could walk through him now and evans but i am going to admit rampage is good both times chuck has fought ramp he thought he could walk through him so the third fight will be differnt.

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell (21-5-0) is on a quest to regain his 205-pound belt, and while a fight against Rashad Evans (11-0-1) is the next step towards his goal, “The Iceman” is already looking to bigger things in the future.

Speaking with Fight Network Radio, Liddell says that, after he wins back the light heavyweight title, he’s willing to move up and fight for the heavyweight belt as well.

“That’s a possibility if they want to do it,” Liddell explains. “If they want to set it up. I’m willing to do it. I would like to get my title back at light heavyweight and then talk about moving up. I would definitely like it to happen before the end of the year.”

Thats cool chuck in heavyweight man two belts at once not saying he will but i think if he does lose against evans or the next time he loses he should move up and face the heavywieght champ just one fight if he wins stay there

i remember a time when i though Royce Gracie could beat anyone in the world, although i was 15 and had only seen NHB once or twice lol. for real though some people dont look at it objectively and they cant stand to see there favorite fighter in a slump. im a huge fan of GSP and was completely crushed when he lost to Serra but no bullsh*t he lost… thats it… get over it, hes back now and doing well again and he didnt even need me to make up dream matches for him or anything. its like me saying Jeremy Horn is going to take on Rampage and be the next LHW champ… NO hes not, its over hes not the fighter he was 3 years ago. as hard as it is to accept i have to face the fact that one of my favorite fighters is not going to be the top dog again. i love Horn and WILL go out of my way to watch him fight and will never bet against him but im not a moron i knew he would lose to Marquardt (even though i picked him to win) and he will most likely lose his next fight too, but hey i still like watching him fight.

Nope…. cause we stopped showing everyone how much money we print… last year.. so now the fed can print all the “funny money” ie. dollars they want..which overfloods the markets which causes inflation… basically too many dollars means it loses its value, not to mention our nation has 67% of its GDP wrapped up in debt.. and the house values went down, so banks that lent 200k are getting foreclosed homes worth 150k and outstanding loans unpaid back of over 200k because of second mortgages by people who weren’t credit worthy .. ie subprime borrowers, or people who should have never been given loans… the problem is that banks that lent the money, are now with a lot of homes, and no money to lend, so businesses cannot get loans, people cannot get financing and loans, and so the economy which is driven (not by a gold standard) by spending, is now without all the spenders… so it stops.. and then goes backwards in a recoil… the problem is that we have a ton of debt, as a nation, we have outsourced production to other countries so WE don’t make anything for others to buy, and the EURO is the new kid on the block so people are buying that instead of dollars, used to be that when we had a recession the world had no other powerful democratic currency to hold except the dollar, thats why we always rebounded, this time they are switching to EUROS which hold their value and it could take 15 years to rebound, or longer, but the govt and analysts dont want you to know that because people would panic… we are on a system called the Fiat system, and our economy should have crashed in 2001, but instead, lenders started giving money to poor consumers, for homes, credit cards, cars, ect… now the bill is coming due and these people, the poorest 50% of Americans don’t have the money to pay it all back, trillions of dollars.. and we borrowed it from germany, china, amsterdam, britain, france, and the list goes on… so we are a nation indebted to other nations and these other nations are abandoning our treasury bonds in retaliation and say GIVE ME MY MONEY and the USA Govt. and businesses are saying.. huhhh we are 9.6 trillion dollars in debt, in the red, we are overdrawn in the bank and dont have it… so our currency and our power is diminishing very quickly.. its bad… worse than they are saying… I work with stock market analysts and basically we are sunk… the worst kind of sunk.. it wont be a recession it will be a depression.. so chums we will see how long the threat of our military and the chopping of rates will keep the American Fiat system afloat before it sinks all together.. :) not that this has anything to do with elections, doesn’t matter who gets elected, the person has already been SELECTED by the powers that be… Hillary … mark my words…. I wont vote for her but she will get it…
