The UFC officially announced several additional fights for UFC 89 this October in Birmingham, England.
The most notable new matchup is between Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou and Luiz Cane.
Luiz Cane is coming off an impressive knockout victory over Jason Lambert at UFC 85 last month. In his UFC debut at UFC 78, Cane was in control of his fight against James Irvin when he was disqualified for an illegal knee strike.
Sokoudjou is coming off a victory over Kazuhiro Nakamura at UFC 84 after a very disappointing UFC debut against Lyoto Machida at UFC 79.
Also announced were fights between Shane Carwin and Neil Wain as well as Akihiro Gono vs Dan Hardy.
UFC 89 will be headlined by a middleweight fight between Michael Bisping and Chris Leben.

FUNNY… Hollywood has had two losses in the UFC back to back, he has NEVER come close to winning and has had two TITLE SHOTS.. Wand on the other hand has had 2 fights, no title shots and a ton of criticism and write offs because of his poor 06/07 - however I haven’t heard ANYONE writing off Hollywood as he has lost to both Anderson Silva and Rampage Jackson.. in an undeserved title bout.. I think they need to serve Dan on a silver platter to Wand in October.. 3 in a row losses, can anyone say finished… NOPE because Dan is an American Wrestler and Wand is a Brazi from Chuteboxe..
I dont know why the UFC isnt trying to show people who Wandy is, he should be the dam posterboy for the company. Same thing with Rampage, the guys got so much charisma and it doesnt really come across in the UFC. Maybe from TUF but before that you couldnt really tell.
You know Wandy is a loyal fighter and he intends to put on a good show everytime. He definatly wants to win, but hes not gonna jog around trying to outscore you with jabs. Hes bringing the FIGHT cuz we paid to see a fight.

looks like a pretty weak card.. definately a weak main event, maybe not even a good UFN headliner. It could be a good fight, but theres so many other guys out there who we only get to see once in a blue moon. I could see this as a bout on a main card definately but not the main event.

aw man, if thats true, thats messed up man. Its not as if they ran out of opponents for either one of those guys. Ya it will be a good fight considering they both know pretty much exactly what the other guy does. But i think its too soon to force them to fight each other, if they already fought everyone else, id say yes, but not at this point.
Id give it to Wand in a heartbeat, I think the KID will choke in the stare down from the LEGEND of his former training academy..
