Chad Edward from Fighters.com is reporting that Zuffa, LLC has purchased the remaining assets from the International Fight League.
The exact terms and dollar amount of the deal has not yet been disclosed, but the deal is very similar to Zuffa’s purchase of the World Fighting Alliance back in 2006. Much like the purchase of the WFA allowed the UFC to get Quinton Jackson under contract, the IFL purchase gives the UFC access to the IFL video library and its remaining fighter contracts.
Earlier today, it was confirmed that IFL middleweight champion Dan Miller had signed a new four fight contract with the UFC and will give some much needed depth to the UFC’s 185 lb. division.
It will be interesting to see which IFL fighters the UFC choses to keep under contract. Some of the IFL standouts that were still under IFL contract include Wagnney Fabiano, Ryan Schultz, Bart Palaszewski, Deividas Taurosevicius, Delson Heleno, Chris Horodecki, and former UFC fighter Jay Hieron.

IFL who? What?… hmmm not sure what an IFL is.. whatever… lol
well put Kansas, for the best MMA organization in the world, they sure make small time moves these days. Affliction is making power moves and the UFC decides to gather up IFL leftovers?? i wouldnt say these guys “suck” but do any of you see these guys shaking things up in the UFC? can any of these guys become a champ? i cant..
Nope.. none of them… buying Pride was the best purchase, along with some contracts.. basically HOT LEADS into the contracts of former Pride stars.. but IFL.. Bodog.. any of these “tee ball MMA leagues” don’t have anything at all to offer…
Affliction is for real.. Dream will fade away if they don’t get major capital investment; not enough Western or Euro fighters to spice it up.. who wants to watch a bunch of undersized micro Asian machines tear each other up??? Its like watching dachshund’s in a pit bull pit fighting for the last bone.. lol
