A rumored fight between former International Fight League standout Chris Horodecki and former UFC fighter Dan Lauzon has been confirmed. Horodecki and Lauzon will face off in a lightweight battle at the upcoming Affliction: Day of Reckoning event on October 11 in Las Vegas, NV.
Dan Lauzon, younger brother of UFC fighter Joe Lauzon, was the youngest competitor to ever fight in the UFC when he fought and lost to Spencer Fisher at UFC 64. Since then, Lauzon has gone 6-1 and will face one of his toughest opponents in Horodecki.
Chris Horodecki took the IFL’s lightweight division by storm winning his first seven fights before losing to Ryan Schultz in a lightweight title fight at the IFL World Grand Prix Finals at the end of 2007.
Also confirmed for the Affliction fight card is a welterweight battle between former IFL champion Jay Hieron and Drew Fickett.
Affliction: Day of Reckoning will be headlined by a heavyweight match between Josh Barnett and Andrei Arlovski.
