So, the rumor mill has been running wild the past few days ever since MMAJunkie.com posed the rumor that former UFC heavyweight and light heavyweight champion Randy Couture might return to the UFC to finish the remaining fight on his contract.
The report claims that Couture might return by the end of the year and appear in the Octagon once again.
Now, some yahoo from the Houston Chronicle is claiming that a deal is already in the works to have Couture fight Brock Lesnar in his return.
I say bull crap… What say you?
Who Will Win the UFC 91 Main Event?
- Randy Couture (64%, 69 Votes)
- Brock Lesnar (36%, 39 Votes)
Total Voters: 108

ive read this rumor and i just dont see it, not with Lesnar at least. the UFC still calls Couture the HW champ and with Nog being the interim champ i dont see how it would make sense to wedge Brock into the mix. Couture walked away when he could have, should have fought a contender in Nog and i dont see him being ok with the idea of him having to fight an almost completely unproven fighter and run the risk of having it all go down the sh*tter for him.
Nope.. i dont buy it either, for a guy whos spent somuch time sitting out trying to escape his contract, you think by the time hes finally free hes gonna go ahead and sign another one with the UFC??
I dont see that happening, in fact it makes no sense at all UNLESS the UFC signs Fedor, which i dont think will ever happen either. Especially with Danas comments about how Fedor sucks, crazy russians, etc..
OMG have you guys heard this latest interview with Rampage? Its like 30 min long, but you can pretty much get the jist of it after the first 10 min.
WOW.. i never realized Rampage was so messed up man.. i almost wish i never heard this interview because it kind of hurt my view of Rampage as a person. I mean, hes into the whole religion thing and though i dont agree with all that i can understand it because there are just so many other people like that.
Alot of people might think its just BS and hes trying to get off the hook, but i doubt it man, i think he really believes what he was saying. Just by the things he was saying, like about the bible and all that, people really believe that stuff man.. Then he brought up “the secret” a religious friend of mine tried to get em to watch it and i couldnt really get through it, to me it was just another motivational seminar spewing out rhetorical nonsense. Though apparantly this DVD is a huge hit and alot of religious people eat that stuff up..
Ok im gonna stop here before i end up offending someone, but i think you guys should check out that interview, atleast the first 10 min or so..

KANSAS!! where are you???? come back from the Dennis zone and comment on this Rampage thing, we need the hardcore christian perspective on this one.
Very simple response to this after watching some of this interview, (by the way I am busy lately with ministry, I am the pastor of a church at this point).
The “SECRET” is a new age philosophy, it is some wisdom, but mostly a Scientology meets New Age philoshical idealism that is no Christian. This whole deal probably confused Rampage as he is not a very knowlegable Christian from what I can tell, and that coupled with a lack of sleep can cause the 3rd part of the body to go awry.
We are all made up in the likeness of God, His is one God in three persons FATHER SON and HOLY SPIRIT, we are ONE PERSON made up in three parts which are SPIRIT, SOUL, (emotion) and BODY- if your body is sick you need medicine, if your spirit is sick you need a preacher, and if your soul is sick you need sleep, possible medication, and possible counseling and sometimes prayer.. Rampage let his Body go to pot, which affected his Soul and his Spirit - its sad, he got delerious from a lack of sleep and food, my friend “Ben” went without sleep for a week once, he is a good Christian guy, and he ended up getting arrested for preaching some weird doctrine out in front of a church… he looks back now and just feels terrible about it, was so dumb, but a lack of sleep can really jack you up, combine that with fasting and you have a problem … look at people when they are out of their minds, they do silly things.
Rampages religion didn’t make him do what he did, it was his unhealthy practical habits and his idiocy concerning the MIXTURE of religions which brought on confusion ie (I am a god) and so forth that brought this on him.
Ban him from Rockstar energy drinks, and my advice would be for him to get the “koolaid” out of his life and commit solely the one God Jehova and His Son Jesus.
Hey Kansas, nice to see your still around, Pastor eh? is that a job? or is it something you do on the side besides work? Anyways, congratz on that.
To me “The Secret” is just another BS money making scam, much like scientology is. My ex gfs dad is a priest of scientology and he doesnt get paid, instead he pays them lol. Her mother supports the family, anyways.. enough about that..
Ive personally gone a week without sleep myself, i mean not 1 hour of sleep in that time. The difference was, i wasnt out on the street, i was at home sick. I dont know how someone in that condition can be walking around and driving trucks an stuff. For me it was like a state of euphoria, can you imainge what its like being exhausted and not being able to sleep and watching back to back episodes of Coach from like 4am to 8am. I wouldnt say i was suicidal, but i would say i was the closest ive ever come to it so far in my life.
As for Rampage, i dunno what to think, hes just looking less and less like the guy we got used to seeing in and out of the ring. Ive never seen him so serious in an interview, ofcourse it was no time for jokes, but still, he just looked so dam morose and beaten down. Really sad sight to see man.. upsetting..
Sorry I didn’t proofread all of that post so its got a lot of errors.
ok before i check out this video i want to touch on a few things.
#1 sleep deprivation - it not a good idea, ever! ive never gone as long as a week or anything like that but me and a friend stayed up for just over 72 hours once and i felt like i was on another planet and my friend was just babbling to him self for the last few hours of it, there was a bunch of coffee involved so i dont know if that made any difference. he ended up quite sick for a few days after and i got very dehydrated and had to spend a night in the ER. so intentionally doing that is dangerous and irresponsible.
#2 doing things God told you to do - unless God himself knocks on your door and shows you some ID then God told you NOTHING! do as you goodbook says to do and dont break the rules, thats it. your all loving all knowing creator is not going to have you make a fool of yourself for any reason, remember Jesus? that was his one message, your God will pass judgment and smite the wicked he doesnt need your help.
#3 “koolaid” - dont, just dont! stop and think, use your common sense. is what your doing sound crazy? you know why? because it is!
now i will check out the video and probably post a response with my thoughts.
whoa! what do you say about that? one of the things that scares me most is not being in control of my own mind, thats one of the reasons i have not had a single drop of alcohol in over two years (and that was the first time in probably two or three years prior to that) and im getting the feeling that Rampage is not in full control of his. at this point i feel kinda bad for him, he seems very lost in his own head.
So my question to you guys is this. Is Rampage telling the truth? or is this just fabricated to get him off the hook?
To me it rang true, but i can see how others are still skeptical, temporary insanity is the best way for celebs to get off the hook.
i dont know what the hell to believe bro. Rampage seems really screwed up right now so who knows right? i mean one minute he sound like his been head f*cked real good by religion and life in general and on the other hand he remembers all the bad things done to him but none of the bad he did. the only real truth i can guarantee is my own and the same goes for everyone else so i will reserve my judgment until i hear some more facts. and i would love to hear “Lunchbox’s” side to this maybe we could get a bit more insight in to this craziness.
ya its a tough call, ill give him the benefit of the doubt for now, but hes gotta convince the judge not us.. what a sad turn of fate for Rampage. Came to the UFC finally became the champ, had a few tough title defenses, then as fast as it came it was all taken away.
I just never saw this side of Rampage, even on TUF, we saw a very quiet and humble guy. I really hope he’ll be back to his old ways soon both in and out of the cage. Err.. maybe we should use the word “cage” lets say the octagon.
