From The If Anyone Cares Department…

If anyone really cares or actually thinks the fight will happen, Mirko ‘Cro Cop’ Filipovic and Alistair Overeem are scheduled to fight each other at DREAM.6 later this month.

This fight was officially announced late last week but I never posted the news because I figured Cro Cop would have pulled out of the fight by now. Mirko last fought at DREAM.1 in March but was scheduled to appear at DREAM.3, DREAM.4, and DREAM.5 before pulling out of all three events for different reasons.

DREAM.6 will be highlighted by the DREAM 2008 Middleweight Grand Prix tournament finals. The four remaining fighters are Zelg Galesic, Melvin Manhoef, Gegard Mousasi, and Ronaldo Souza. Also on the fight card with the rescheduled welterweight title fight between Nick Diaz and Hayato ‘Mach’ Sakurai.

I think Mirko hasnt been 100% and kept pulling out due to nagging injuries. I hope this fight happens because Overeem has been talking alot of sh*t every opportunity he gets. I dunno if hes trying to hype up the match or hes just being a d*ck, but Crocop is not the guy you want to upset.

Seems everyone has flipflopped on Crocop since his last few fights in the UFC. Not me, im still a big Crocop fan and i cant wait to see him back in action.

Diaz vs Sakurai, theres another fight which never seems to happen when its supposed to. After alot of talking and waiting lets see if this is going down, because if it does its gonna be a HELL of a scrap. This is the most exciting fight i see for Diaz out there short of the UFC.

KJ who?

i hope to see CroCop back and kickin asss, lets just hope hes got his head in the game because it seems like hes not into MMA anymore or something. some people a few loses will f*ck em up for good and others it’ll light that fire, lets hope CroCops got the fire. i wonder if Overeem will gas on the way to the ring lol.
