Only a few hours before the official weigh-ins for UFC 88: Breakthrough were scheduled to begin, the welterweight title fight between Karo Parisyan and Yoshiyuki Yoshida has been cancelled.
UFC.com delivered the news a short time ago:
A last-minute back injury has forced welterweight contender Karo Parisyan to withdraw from his UFC 88 bout with Yoshiyuki Yoshida. Saturday’s UFC 88 card will continue with nine bouts, and the welterweight bout between Dong Hyun Kim and Matt Brown will now be aired on the pay-per-view broadcast.
Why the Brown vs Kim fight was chosen to fill the empty slot on the Pay-Per-View portion of the card is beyond me. I would much rather see the Thiago Tavares vs Kurt Pellegrino fight or the Roan Carneiro vs Rho Chonan fight.

I agree 100% doc.. or Kampman vs Marquardt.. theres so many more interesting fights.. quite a sad turn of events..
I’m pretty sure the marquardt fight is already on the PPV card
