TOTAL PURSE $209,000

Pretty poor numbers if you ask me. UFC57 between Liddell and Couture netted a total purse of $666,000 compared to this total of only $209,000. There were officially a total of 8,183 paid tickets at the live event for a total payout of $1,758,450. Who knows how many people paid $34.95 to watch this event on pay-per-view, but lets be conservative and round the number up to only $2,000,000. This means that the fighters only received approximately 10% of the total money.

When one of your champions is only making a base amount of $16,000 that is pretty sad. I know Rich signed his seven fight deal a while ago, but with several title defenses he deserves to renegotiate his deal. I guess its a good representation of his character that he is honoring his contract. The man he fought, David Loiseau only made $9,000. Loiseau fought for the belt and he only make 9k, but I guess after seeing the fight, he didn’t deserve much more.

it is a sad payout to these guys risking their health to entertain others, but thats is the game, to see how much money the promoter can stuff in his pockets while ******** fighters. Promoters are typically not ethical people, not good at all, thats why they do these things without conscience.

DAMM DOC…. THIS ARE PROBABLY THE LOWEST NUMBERS IN AN EVENT IVE EVER SEEN
