Gomi Goes Down; Baroni Goes Up

The “Year of the Upset” continues in 2006 as one of the most respected fighters in MMA today, Takanori Gomi, was choked unconscious during Pride Bushido 10.

Phil Baroni looked very good against Yuki Kondo, knocking him out in 25 seconds. Baroni really looks like a different fighter than we saw in the UFC.

Yves Edwards was able to bounce back from his recent loss to Mark Hominick and pick up a decision victory over Seichi Ikemoto. Jens Pulver also defeated Kenji Arai in the first round using a soccer kick.
