HE DID IT!!!!! DrJ and Gatties called this one. Man! it looked like it was GSP vs MARK hughes in there lol. I have no idea why Hughes tried to stand up with him, GSP picked him apart, from the boxing, to the leg kicks, to the takedown defense, to the KO finish, complete domination.
The snowman got his chance when he got on top, and sylvia out-grappled him, WOW! great performance from Sylvia, tho he didnt really push the stand up, or try and finish him, he went the safe route on this fight, but you cant really blame him, he loves being the champ. I dont know why all the fans were booing Tim Sylvia, he may not have put on much of a show for them, but hes a professional fighter, not a clown…
Dam.. Vera put the hurt on Mir early, we didnt even get to see if his conditioning was there. Not that it mattered, Personally id like to see Vera fighting at 205, tho hes a big guy, Sylvia still dwarfs him in comparison.
Honestly, im tired of hearing about kenny florian, im lookin to see Joe Stevenson vs Sean Sherk for the title, that would be a war. Hes a beast at 155, and so is Sherk.
Some other nice bouts too, overall this was a great card! though i would have liked to see Nick Diaz fight, it seemed to me that most of the fights ended quickly so they could have squeezed that one in.. but oh well.. what can you do..
Very eager to see the upcoming diego sanchez fight vs Riggs, as my buddy would say, Riggs is a hurdle in the 170 division, before you get close to a title shot, you gotta get through Joe Riggs.
Then Chuck and Tito, the next best thing to Chuck and Wandy, lets see who catches a beat down for christmas lol. Also Bisping! my country man, i really wanted to see him fight, hopefully this time no problems will arise!
UFC 66 is setting up to be the best UFC card ever.

Hughes had to stand with G.S.P., standup sets up the takedown. Tito will also have to stand with Chuck, at least for a little while. I just hope Chuck fights a worthy opponent after he k. o.’s Tito again. Why wouldn’t Dana let Chuck fight Cro Cop, he was willing to make 205. Chuck was also willing to fight Cro Cop. Why is Dana protecting Chuck. D.W. is killing the ice man’s rep. with the hardcore fans. Chuck doesn’t need protection, just ask Babaloo.
I seen an article on another site that said the UFC is trying to sign Crocop to a 6 fight contract. If that’s the case Chuck and Tim will have some sleepless nights. I’m not sure what weight division he would fight at but he can probably take both belts before long. Crocop himself acknowledged the UFC is sending him serious offers and with Pride having financial problems after losing their TV contract it may be possible to sway him to the octagon. I hope this happens because he would bring some real excitment back into the UFC since they haven’t had a world class fighter come into the organization in a while. I like every MMA fan hope Dana can pull this off, it would be a huge boost for the UFC and give them a true heavy weight.
I agree that there seems to be a big BIG difference in skill levels… but after seeing Rich Franklin’s fight with Anderson… that might be changing… I would like to see Vera and Anderson Silva throw…. and the Ice Man and Anderson if he could get the weight…. I think Hughs should move down to the 155… so should Matt Sarra… that weight class is getting AMAZING…. I almost feel bad for Riggs too… I can’t remember the lasttime he won… He has all the tools but… I think he needs to change up his camp… maybe go up to Big Bear… He would do will… He wants to fight like Tito anyways…
