Gracie Fighting Championships

Just wanted to keep everyone updated with Nick Diaz’s status. (It has become something of a novelty here at MMA HQ.)

Diaz is scheduled to fight Thomas Denny on January 20, 2007 in Miami at the American Airlines Arena on the Gracie Fighting Championship: Evolution card.

  2. PATRICK says:

    NICK DIAZ IS THE BOMB

  3. Tommy Boy says:

Did the UFC not re-sign him? What the heck…
I have been out of the game for a while except for some ppv.. and I dont have time for Spike or the shows.. just the ppv, so why is Diaz fighting in the GFC?

  4. Dr J says:

Diaz won his last UFC fight and the UFC offered him a new contract but he turned them down to fight in GFC instead. There seems to be some kind of conflict between Diaz and the UFC and Diaz is a longtime Gracie fighter and Gracie team member.

nick diaz is awesome the only thing is he cant get to the next level he needs to try something new and he is lucky that people see something in him cuz he did have three straight losses in the ufc and not much people get offered another contract with losses like that he is really talented and i think he went to get his A game and hell be back and ready for a title shot
