Tim will probably get by Randy because of his reach and jabs. Randy's not that great at submissions he primarily relies on a ground and pound attack. I think this is a bad idea for Randy but the only other choice for him to return would have been to fight Chuck again and he realized that is futile. If Tim gets past Randy which he should Crocop will be waiting. Mirko has no intention on trying to take Tim down. I think after a few leg and body kicks we'll see Tim trying to take Crocop down out of fear. Either Tim will buckle from leg kicks or he will have to drop his defence to try and block them and open himself up for the deadly left high kick. Either way Tim better come up with some kind of stratagy because his fighting style will not work against Mirko. I can't wait to see him lose his title he may just cry like Forest which will be funny.

Jayme, I agree. I am enjoying watching the UFC transition from a limited group of less than great fighters to the elite and foremost in MMA.
I really am curious to see how Couture fairs against Sylvia, I really can't give him a huge advantage because he has gone past the 40 mark and he is fighting a guy with a reach like a condor. To take Sylvia down, you have to get past his long reach, and Arlovski wasn't able to get that done, it took Monson 4 rounds to finally get a take down and then he couldn't do anything with Tim. What can Randy do that Arlovski couldn't I wonder.
Someone either tell me I am wrong with good reason, or admit I am right regardless of what you think about frankenstein, (sylvia).

Dennis,

I am sure Tim Sylvia could kick my ass but that’s not the point.

As the HW champion (not for long -- will put money on it) for UFC, he partly represents the credibility of the UFC, or even MMA's in general as being filled with legit, talented athletes.

As the UFC is so well promoted and is usually most North Americans first glimpse into the MMA world, its important that the "Champions are just that, Champions"

You look at any other League .. Example -- Pride FC with their HW Champion, Fedor. In fact, you need to look no further than the current boxing HW Champions to see that these guys are all world class fighters with talent but more importantly bring excitement to their respective sports.

That’s right, it’s actually important to have guys that not only win, but become spectacles. The longer the UFC lets Tim Sylvia remain HW Champ by not searching out some talented HW’s the more ridiculous they look to the public. Do you really think people are going to be content to watch that lethargic jackass stumble around, slipping and falling over himself – it’s shameful for the sport!—and there’s no need for it

yea, i think the reality show fighters would have fought in the UFC regardless of TUF. Like dana said, they researched and scouted the best upcoming fighters they could find, while some of them fell short for different reasons, you can never predict how a fighter will mature. The reality show was just a way for them to get more exposure for MMA and they hit a homerun!

Theyre on the level man, good example was season 4, fighters we already knew and respected, sacrificing and getting a taste of reality TV first hand. Even the comeback guys said they have alot more respect for the earlier show guys, its a serious ordeal. Personally im was really happy when these shows came out, just more MMA and MMA related programming for me to watch. I would probably watch anything once it relates to MMA lol

Diego has champion potential coming from the TUF series. Rashad has obviously had good outings the last couple of fights. Jardine has started to get some respect after KO'ing Griffin. Stevenson may be a couple of fights from a title shot in the light weight division. Even Florian gave an admirable effort against sherk. Swick is still undefeted and has had some impressive wins. Leben has had some decent wins and always comes to scrap and be entertaining. Forest was on a roll for a while till Keith derailed him. Looking back there are quite a few fighters from the show that have earned their respect as true mixed martial artists and shed the "reality show" image. I think Diego Sanchez is the best example of someone that was on the show but no one questions his ability anymore. Overall TUF show has brought some good talent to the UFC and gave the sport huge mainstream exposure. Because of this the UFC has gained new fans and respect as a true sport that we as long time fans knew all along. It's good because the extra revenue that the PPV's and sponsers gererate enables the UFC to keep signing guys like Crocop and Rampage. I think this is why the UFC is the premier promotion now, they have adapted to the market and grew the sport and gave it the respect worldwide that it deserves.

Does anyone have anything to say about the quality of fighters coming out of the reality series. I know they make for popular fights(?) and are given plenty of promotion so just wanted to hear from anyone else what they think?!? Good or Bad.
