  1. PATRICK says:

IS DIAZ REALLY DO U THINK GONNA WIN THIS ONE BOYS …. HOW GOOD IS THIS GOMI CAT?

  2. MAD says:

Gomi is ranked as the #1 lightweight in the world. He is good, his last fight on pride Shockwave was dominant. Diaz usually fights at 170 so he should be a little bigger abd stronger than Gomi. I think it’s best for Nick to take this fight to the ground and try for submissions. Gomi is good on his feet and may be able to take Diaz in the stand up battle but I’ll be rooting for Nick to win his Pride debut.

  3. bvrasp says:

yo man, i voted for Gomi, hes the man. Mad you alreay said everything i planned to say about diaz lol. Hes dropping down in weight, and his best chance is on the ground. Thing is, hes a cocky guy, he may try to stand with gomi, id like to see that heheh.

Hes ranked #1 for a reason, hes a crazy striker with a great chin, Gomi gonna destroy Diaz man..

  4. alen says:

gomi is gonna win this match he is much better than diaz. I think that diaz will put up a good fight since hes trying to make an impression in japan but in the end gomi will come out with the victory

  5. Brian says:

Come on people. It’s 50/50 on the poll and Diaz is going down. To many people don’t know much about Pride. Gomi is GOOD.

  6. Dr J says:

    @BRIAN,

dont count Diaz out. Gomi is excellent but his weakness is the ground game where Diaz excels at submissions. We saw what happend when Gomi fought Marcus Aurelio the first time. he got submitted pretty easily and when they fought the 2nd time they went the distance.

I think Diaz, who is a good technical striker and excellent submission fighter, has a great chance to take Gomi out.

  7. bvrasp says:

yea Dr J, but Diaz hasnt done very well against tough competition lately, really i dont think his game is growing much, it seems like hes levelled off to me..

  8. richard says:

all his loses except one are decisions that means to me those guys tried the best they could and no one could finish him and who are these guys sherk lightweight champ couldnt karo number5 in the world couldnt sanchez number 4 in the world couldnt the kid gots heart so i think he will give gomi a fight

  9. Brian says:

Yea I know we can’t count him (Diaz) out. I’m just not to empressed with Diaz at this point in time. I have to give it to Gomi, but by decission.

Nice to see a poll. I love those things!

  10. Crockett says:

Gomi may be the top ranked lightweight in the world but I think he’s coming in as a the underdog because of his size. Gomi is not going to win the stand up battle because he’s too small, but he can the end the fight quickly with counters, just like the way he finished Ralph Gracie. It is the only way for Gomi to win. Nick may be a jiu jitsu fighter but he prefers standing because he wants to electrify the crowd. I see Nick Diaz winning the fight by 1st round TKO or Gomi by controversial decision.
