We all have heard about the “bad blood” between Diego Sanchez and Josh Koscheck, both of whom were contestants on Season 1 of The Ultimate Fighter. Sanchez and Koscheck will get their chance to settle the score at UFC 69 in Houston, Texas and most of the MMA world is eagerly awaiting that matchup.

I agree that the guys like Hughes, Franklin, Couture, Chuck and even Tito deserve to get payed like todays fighters because they made the UFC what it is. They put in their dues before TUF show and deserve their piece of the glory. I’m not sure if they were all paper champions but they fought who was available at the time. The fighters of today are more developed and well versed in all aspects of MMA. In the old days guys were able to get by with just being really good at one aspect. Those days are gone, if you are not well trained in everything now you don’t have much of a chance. Guys like Coleman and Royce did not evolve like most fighters and they got left behind. I would maybe add Trigg to the Hughes win list because he was pretty good at the time. Trigg will be fighting the #4 middleweight Misaki in Pride this Saturday so we’ll see if he really is any good anymore.
I never cease to amaze you? I didn’t realize I harbor such resentment from you. I guess I have to look out for you more on these boards. You shouldn’t get so emotional about the things people say, ust because you have such a hard-on for Matt Hughes or whomever, I just say what I believe. If you disagree, then disagree and state it…don’t resort to such a childish comment. These guys are fighters, I pay to watch them fight, they get paid with the money that I pay to watch them. We all have every right to state our opinions on whether we want to watch them again or not. It’s called sports. I hate the fact that most of the NY Knicks suck…should I go play them too?

anyways the fact of the matter is diego willl defeat koscheck AGAIN, and even worse…like to be honest i dont feel that koscheck what it takes to beat sanchez, for the simple fact that sanchez has an answer to all of koschecks defenese/offenses. like if you look at all of thier opponents, you can clearly seee that diego has fought more wellrounded fighters..diego went to Abu dahbi and faced marcelo garcia, and lost by an armbar…now whats inportant about that fight is that garcia couldnt even mount sanchez, andsanchez gave him a run for his money. koschecks wrestling..as good as it may be, is obsolete…i say this for one reason only .Gaidojutsu…if you dont know what it is, its the fighting style ..developed by Greg Jackson and made famous by Diego Sanchez ..originally a combination of wrestling and Judo techniques, Jackson incorporated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and kickboxing to make the system complete.
this is why diegos mma record is 17-0..
and the way i see match going is the same way all of sanchez matches went..and more specifically koschecks too….hes probably gonna shoot on diego and try to ground and pound, and sanchez is obv gonna train for that, and as a result, hes probably going to end up with a submission victory if its on the ground…or if koscheck decides to stand with sanchez hes gonna get knocked out…
juss like amir said, diego comes with a game plan, so when one move or technique doesnt work, right away instinctively he goes to another, and because his cardio is through the roof, ppl get overwhelmed and gassed quick, because they cant keep up……

Koscheck is a secret bone smoker. I was working out at a gym when Kos came in, he was smiling at me and kept saying “Nice pecs, bro”.
In the showers after the workout he kept dropping the soap and opening his *** crack, giving me a prime view of the poop-shoot.
I decided it was time to leave when he started barking like a dog and trying to hump my leg.
kos doesn’t have a chance but no mader where i go, theres nobody on his

Bet you have to be pumped now that Liddell vs Rampage is officially confirmed at UFC 71. I think Quinton wanted a couple more fights but I don’t think Chuck or Dana wanted to give him more time to prepare. At least all the debate will be answered soon.

I think it is safe to say that everyone in this blog, or at least 90% or better are going to watch UFC 71, and it ain’t for the ring girls my friends. The headliner is Liddell vs Jackson, and it will be fun to watch. The 40 bucks that everyone is going to drop is going to give the UFC millions, I would rather see it go to the fighers than Dana White. I think it is also safe to say that Rampage deserves a big payday because he is the ONLY fighter in the LHW division people are going to pay to watch fight for the title right now. Ortiz is worn out, no excitement there, Jeremy Horn got whupped last time out and is retired at this point, Couture is in the HWD. Cro Cop would be great, but he is in the HWD right now so that isn’t really an option at the moment, (it will be down the road) and all the other great LHW are in Pride, which won’t deal with the UFC right now. I think Rampage deserves a huge payout, because he has beaten Liddell, (badly) years ago, and because it’s gonna be his and Chucks blood spilled, not anyone elses at the event so they both deserve the money, period.
just to let everyone know,diego’s main strenth on the ground is mount and strike not ground and pound.there’s a difference.

no i’m not sure that its that GSP has a weak chin but more like serra has a really hard punch. i’ve seen a few fights were st.pierre took a few good ones and didnt go down like that.
The Diego vs Kos fight really wasn’t a fight. They both looked like they didn’t want to engage. You have to give Kos credit for executing his game plan even if it sucked. I don’t know why Sanchez didn’t take the fight to the ground. The only time it went to the ground Kos was reversed and Diego almost took his back. No one was destroyed in that fight. Have to give Serra the credit he’s due. He took out the king and in impressive fashion at that. I don’t think he’ll keep the belt long but at least he can bask in the glory for a while. The 170lb division just got thrown in a loop. I hope they don’t give Kos the title shot. He still in my opinion nedds to work his way up and beat guys in more impressive fashion. I like how they brought out Big Nog the HW division went from weak to unreal in a couple of months. This year is already full of upsets and were only 1/3 of the way into it. Can’t wait to see what going to happen next.
i’d like to see diego sanchez and koscheck go at it again, hopefully next time they’ll actually try to fight
