    @MAD

    you’re right, but we also have one thing in our favor….

    Dana wants world domination, so he could schedule a fight in Moscow, and theoretically, Fedor could fight, even while he’s on contract with Pride.

  2. PATRICK says:

    OH DENNIS THAT WOULD BE AN AWESOME IDEA

  3. bvrasp says:

    I dont think chuck can move up to heavyweight, it would be a bad move in my opinion. Chucks real strength is in striking, and most Heavyweight fighters are huge man, Put chuck against crocop and he has a chance to win, put him against Sylvia and HE WILL LOSE.

    People hate on Tim, but the fact is, hes a MONSTER, your talking about a guy who has to cut weight to make the 265 limit, combine that with his huge reach advantage, i dont see how chuck would be able to connect with Tims jaw… unless he had a step ladder…

    Im against guys moving up in weight, if anything they should move down in weight, look at terry martin, dam! that guy looks like a best now that he dropped down! I think chuck should stay where he is because he probably couldnt make 185 anyways.

    Randy at heavyweight? no man… NO

    Look what happened to Wandy, crocop might have ruined him for life man, stupid openweight GP, it doesnt make any sense to me. I would still like to see Chuck vs Silva, i dont care if Silva lost twice in a row, look who he lost to…

    Im still and always be a Wanderlei Silva fan, since the Vale Tudo days hes been a warrior but i dont want to see him get brain damage from heavyweights man.. thats just wrong..

  4. Dennis says:

    @Jayme,
    …more like…….. only an IDIOT would ever discount the ICEMAN. Why couldn’t he beat Cro Cop?

    I wouldn’t personally bet against Cro Cop…….EVER, but Chuck could very easily knock him out. Randleman did.

    Cro Cop has awesome left handed strikes and kicks. However Chuck has demonstrated over and over again that he can knock you out from any angle with his left or right.

    Bottom line….this fight would be by the guy who’s on that day, who’s hungrier at the time, and whoever gets the big licks in first.

    Wandaliar lost to a guy in a lower weight class, 25#’s lighter.

    That would be like Chuck getting KO’d by Chris Leben…..

  5. PATRICK says:

    HEY DR J. DID U CREATE THIS SITE

  6. Dennis says:

    One more thing. When Cro Cop fights, he just keeps coming at you, which is ideal for Chuck.

    Has Chuck EVER been knocked out? Don’t think so! Cro Cop has.

    With two guys at this skill level of striking, there is absolutely NO WAY to predict the outcome.

  7. PATRICK says:

    PREDICTION FOR THAT FIGHT

    ======== LIDDELL 1ST ROUND ….. KO STRIKES TO HEAD

  8. PATRICK says:

    YO DENNIS WHAT WEIGHT DO U THINK GSP WALKS AROUND AT NORMAL?

  9. Dennis says:

    Here’s a controversial topic for ya Dr. J.

  10. Dennis says:

    @Patrick

    really can’t say about GSP, though Sherdog’s got him at 169#…

  11. MAD says:

    Most fighters walk around at about 15-20lbs over their fighting weight.

  12. PATRICK says:

    HEY DENNIS HEAVYWIEGHTS DONT CUT WEIGHT RIGHT?

  13. Amir says:

    I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…in the last 2 years, which fighter has legitimately tested Chuck’s chin? if you look at every one of his UFC fights, there are maybe only 1 or 2 fighters who have actual KO power. I do see how Mirko could get caught by one of Chuck’s punches after chasing after him, but Mirko is also one of the smartest guys out there and would probably chage his gameplan.

  14. Dennis says:

    @Amir

    Think back about the famous Rampage fight…….how many times did he, “test Chuck’s chin”.

    Chuck gassed, didn’t get knocked out.

  15. MAD says:

    I remember Chuck hitting Rampage several times clean in that fight and Quinton not being fazed either.

  16. R.J. St.Croix says:

    thats why i say chucks style would be good in heavy weight because a guy like cro cop would probably chase him trying for the knock out. liddell is a counter puncher and he is good at it. when a fighter comes in swinging he just falls back till they show him an opening and boom he put you to sleep.
    i have seen liddell take some nice shots and just keep fighting and thats not to say cro cop couldnt rock him. cro cop with out a doubt could put liddell to sleep if he had the chance. but i did see cro cop get knocked out so we all know thats possible. i love both of these fighter they have awesome, exciting styles. this is one fight that i would want to see a trilogy because of there styles it would likely be a knock out finish and it would probably happen quick. i think we would have to see three fights to see who the better fighter is.

  17. Dr J says:

    @PATRICK,

    Of course I created this site.

  18. Amir says:

    @Dennis

    For the record, there’s a HUGE difference between Rampage/Chuck years ago…to a current Mirko/Chuck fight. We are talking an entirely different level of fighter, and power for that matter. Mirko does not bull rush into a swinging Chuck like Randy and Tito did, Mirko always closes his distance but stops in his tracks immediately if he senses his opponent is about to throw a strike. Randy and Tito just tried to get into his space and start throwing bombs w/o any accuracy cause they were only looking for a takedown.

  19. Dennis says:

    @Amir

    That wasn’t the issue you originally brought up. We were discussing “Chins” not fighting styles, techniques, or levels.

  20. Dennis says:

    Watching old Daddy vs. Neer footage.

    @RJ

    I think Chuck would stand well against Cro Cop, but not against Tim, because he’s just too damn big.

  21. Dennis says:

    @Patrick

    Yes, in UFC, HW’s must cut weight too. AS BV said earlier, Tim has to cut weight every match to fight at 265.

  22. Amir says:

    @ Dennis,

    What’s the difference? it’s still the same issue. Chuck getting hit by CroCop is vastly different than Chuck getting hit by Rampage. You were stating Rampage hit Chuck several times and didn’t knock him out. I’m saying that that doesn’t matter because if CroCop hits Chuck, that will do much more damage. Also, just because a guy is a devastating puncher does not mean he can’t be knocked out, which is what it seems you are saying.

  23. Dennis says:

    @Amir

    Come on bro, you’re losing points here….STOP!

    You’re going back to comparing….STOP!

    Chuck has a good chin……..STOP

    Don’t know how much clearer I can be…….STOP!

  24. Amir says:

    Anyone can just go back to the previous few comments and clearly understand the difference between what we are both saying.

  25. Dennis says:

    @Amir,

    I agree. All I want you to admit is that as far as anyone knows….

    Chuck has never been KO’d

    Cro Cop has been KO’d

    so……….chin vs. chin, Chuck wins…..

  26. Amir says:

    Dennis: Chuck has a good chin that Rampage hit several times.. and since Rampage didn’t knock him out, no one can. That is basically the jist of what you are saying, no?

    “Think back about the famous Rampage fight…….how many times did he, “test Chuck’s chin”. Chuck gassed, didn’t get knocked out

    Amir: Just because Rampage did not KO Chuck in their first fight years ago…does not mean that CroCop can not KO Chuck. In the last 2 years, Chuck has faced 1 0r 2 fighters with legitimate KO power.

    Is that not easy to understand?

  27. Amir says:

    Ok, I can admit that, even though it’s a silly comparison…can you admit that Chuck can be KO’d?

  28. Dennis says:

    @Amir

    OK, now for the next topic….

    Yes! Cro Cop can most definately knock Chuck out, and comparing Rampage to Cro Cop is like….

    comparing Randleman to Chuck!

    agreed?

  29. bvrasp says:

    for Dennis and Amir,

    I think chuck could knockout crocop, i also think crocop could knockout chuck.

    They both have speed, power and accuracy in their hands, but in terms of legs, i think everyone will agree that crocop has him beat. Theyre both very cerebral fighters, if this fight ever happens, i could see chuck trying to take it to the ground as a good tactic to switch strategys on mirko. Show some crazy ground skills hes been hiding hehehe how crazy would that be!

    if it wasnt clear enough, ill say it flat out, crocop has the edge in this matchup.

  30. Dennis says:

    I’ve already said that Cro Cop has the advantage when it comes to “Boot to the head”….

    But, when it comes to “stick & move”, I gotta give to Chuck. Cro Cop has never met an opponent that strikes from those kind of angles, nor paces from side-to-side like a caged tiger the way the ICEMAN does.

    Cro Cop just methodically stalks his opponent, looking for an opening.. Chuck leaves his hands at his waist, so he’s always open, looking to counter-strike, so he will clock Cro Cop on the counter……..guaranteed.

    So, again I say the bottom line is….This question will be answered simply by who lands the big licks first. Will it be Chucks anvil fist on the counter-attack, or Cro Cop’s boot to the head because Chuck’s hands are at his waist?

  31. Amir says:

    There’s only one way to settle this…let’s call Dana

  32. PATRICK says:

    DR J… IM STILL BORED LOL????

  33. DayDay says:

    “Cro Cop has never met an opponent that strikes from those kind of angles, nor paces from side-to-side like a caged tiger the way the ICEMAN does.”

    …lol..i dunno if your familiar with cro-cops fight list..because really and truly hes gone up against alott of amazing fighters, and yes, he has been beat…but one fight that stand out is his fight with Fedor Emeilianko..
    if youve ever see his matches, you can say Fedor is one of the best if not the best MMA fighter of all time, and cro cop held his own..he got tossed around, but he still held his composer, im not sayin that chuck cant beat crocop, but because of that fight , and other fights that cro cop has been in, i dont think that chuck has anything that crocop hasnt seen before, i dont think he would to surprise him with anything, it would be a good fight, but i see cro cop leaving the ring the winner..

  34. Dennis says:

    duh…..I think everyone knows that, but compare Fedor’s style & techniquest to Chucks, and you’ll see I’m right.

    …BEFORE you all go nuts, I’m not saying Chuck can beat Fedor!

  35. newmz says:

    i spent the last 15mins reading this!! and why are people getting worked up over who would win Chuck or Cro Cop!!

    simple fact I see chuck finally get beat (which is long over due), without a doubt chuck can KO anyone! if Crop Cop is caught sleeping like he was with his first fight with Randleman!
    in the past 2years Cro Cop has fought the BEST IN THE WORLD! who the HECK has Chuck been fighting in the last 2 yrs?? and dont even bring up the fact that he fought randy 3 times!

    Chuck hasn’t been tested agenst a REAL striker like crop cop! chuck owns anyone that wants to take him down simple! but in his fights in Japan agenst some good strikers he didn’t look comfortable!! he was luckly with the figth agenst Alistair Overeem!

    Wanderlei showed heart Vs Crop Cop #2 he got owned thou! but in their first figth wand did great!! Chuck hasnt fought any Top 10 ranked figthers for a very long time! thats why i dislike all the hype surrounding chuck (i respect).

  36. richard says:

    im kinda shocked on how little henderson and gomi were payed
