In 2003, Craig "Dr J" Jolicoeur began what would eventually become MMA HQ.
Over the course of several years and several different websites, MMAHQ.com was established and quickly gained a loyal following. The original and current aim of MMA HQ is to provide up-to-date news and information in the world of mixed martial arts.
Today, thousands of people get their MMA fix either directly through MMAHQ.com, or through its news feeds or associate websites every day. Tags: UFC 69
man i’m still in shock about the fight. i gave serra the benefit of the doubt that he could beat st.pierre but damn that was quick and mean. serra looked like a beast in that fight and i like it i hope he keeps it up. and i really hope this doesnt hurt st.pierre’s career to much because i know some people are going to think st.pierre doesnt have what it takes to be a champ.
well one good thing about GSP losing it frees him up for the upcomming pride light weight tournament. lol i know this is probably wishful thinking but it would be kick asss to see GSP, hughes, parisyan, and maybe diego fight in the light weight GP
I’m with some of you. I hope GSP keeps his head up and I really hope it makes him a better fighter. He’s a true MAN of MMA to stay at the press conference and listen to all the “know-it-all” reporters and answer their questions.
One key thing he said was how he felt going into the fight. He said his ego was way high. This will hopefully ground GSP into being more of a Matt Hughes when it comes to the mental aspect of the game. I HOPE he only gets better, because he’s absolutly GREAT for the sport!
Perdiction:
Hughes beats Sera=GSP beats Hughes=GSP beats Sera=GSP beats Sera
I remember writing in an article for (I think) MMA-HQ that GSP would hold the title though 2007. Well…he’ll have it, but clearly not the whole time.
first of all im a diego fan but he believed in his hype to much and in my opinion was scared of kos which is stupid because the last fight kos had even though he dominated all three rounds kos’s weakness is bjj the only take down of the night ended in sanchez getting his back sanchez should have let kos take him down and submit him from his back believe me its kos’s weakness and sanchez’s weakness is or was his belief he was so post to be undeafeated but i still cant wait for kos vs sanchez 2
Bottomline, it doesn’t matter how long Serra holds the belt because for the rest of his life he will have a gold belt in his trophy case and will be listed as one of the select few who can say they were once a UFC Champion.
Rush shows once again that he’s a stand up guy.
Yea i hear you dennis.. but was GSP even at that press conference? i never saw him move, I thought it was a cardboard cutout or something lol
How would you feel in his place….getting TKO’d by a guy thats been fighting forever, and has no TKO’s?
ya thats true, atleast he didnt just leave, it would have been interesting to hear what diego had to say after the fight.

I don’t think you have to worry about that. In fact most are saying it was a fluke that will never happen again, and I must agree.
Serra has been around for almost ten years, and this is the first time he’s ever done that to anyone.
GSP on the other hand has not yet reached his prime, and many still believe him to be one of the best today!
Remember, GSP is the next Van Damme!
but, Matt Hughes is the next champion!
@Dennis
That is until Hughes-St. Pierre 3. lol
He has to beat super KOS first!………..LMFAO
