Any guy that has the guts to step into the ring with the deadliest man alive gets my respect. Especially, when he is giving up serious weight to compete. However, I still am not a fan of Lindland by any means. He represents everything I don’t like about MMA. The best was when Lindland tried to suplex a guy a few years ago in the UFC and fell backwards, knocking himself out cold. I haven’t seen Fedor bleed like that in a long time, but it was probably from a headbutt, not a strike. Fedor is the man!!!

Man, what more can be said about Fedor. I used to not like the guy too much, until I saw some footage of him outside the ring and it changed my entire perception of him. We are all witnessing the greatest fighter in the history of MMA and probably every other combat sport. Of course, I don’t count Chuck out of this by any means, but Fedor just amazes me. Back in the day when Jordan was playing for the Bulls, I couldn’t stand him, especially being a Knicks fan. But now, after all these years, I miss having such a talent around cause I never paid much attention to he things he used to do on the court. I see the same thing with Fedor. I appreciate how special he is and what he means to the MMA world.

Lindland did better than i expected, i dunno how he cut fedor.. but i still hate lindland, still love fedor.
I mean, I used say that Mirko was my #1…but after what he said about Fedor’s wife before their first fight…I lost some respect for him as a man.

Theres been a lot of controversy about what was actually said because the video of what happened, is of bad quality. There is,however, no denying that Fedor’s wife was the subject of the conversation…the question is was Mirko disrespecting her too or just happened to walk in on the conversation and not put much input on the subject. Regardless, it was f—ed up of him to do, but I can’t see him turning on his friends and repremanding them, that would be silly. Also, the fottage showed Mirko being a jerk to the media and not letting them tape him in pre-fight, while Fedor was chillin playing cards and accepting gifts from his fans.
Whats up with the Lindland hate. Represents everything wrong with MMA? How represents everything right about MMA? Heart, talent, tough as nails, absolutely no fear. Lindland lives to fight, he embodies everything MMA stands lose in its oncoming mass commercializing and moves toward ultimate boxing. Oh and Fedor is a god among men..nuff said.
personally i just dont like Lindland.. maybe its his face? i dunno.. i dont like him, though i respect his skills, im not saying he sucks because he doesnt, but he just doesnt interest me as a fighter..

didnt anyone notice fedor grabbing the ropes and that allowing him to over turn the take down from one of the best in the game? i mean lindland was a silver medalist in greco im a total fan of fedor and he is my favorite fighter but i wish he didnt grab those ropes =/

Why isn’t anyone asking WTF Linland was doing fighting Fedor? Don’t get me wrong, Fedor is one of the greats but it seems like all the pride fighters get “targets” thrown at them constantly to make the look more dominant than they really are. If you follow MMA at all, you’d know Linland is not a Fedor level competitor, not even close. Before you get angry and respond with ignorant comments, check the fight records for wanderlie and fedor, they’re stuffed full of gimme’s.
i think if u were really to read some of the posts a lot of us did say that , i wouldnt doubt that wandy and fedor got gimmes but what fighter doesnt personnally i think that chuck has had some gimmes like ortiz the second time and jeremy horn so aint no one gonna get angry but on the other hand stuffed full i dont think so
