Mirko should easily be able to drop 20 to fight Chuck…
What motivation would he have to drop and fight Chuck? He is king in the HW division, and are other HW for him to fight.. it would be a move backwards for Cro Cop in my view, he killed Wand, the 6 year unkillable champ .. he would beat chuck at his current weight, only fighter that can beat Cro Cop right now is Fedor in my opinion.. he is the man..
So does anyone think that there is anybody out there that can beat fedor, i wonder if cotoure would have a good chance

A bit off topic, but if anyone out there trains MMA, Ringside’s “Combat Sports” has a great line of training gear. I just got some MMA gloves that are great for both striking and grappling. They are small, they allow a great grip for joint locks, pressure points, and general grappling, but have 6oz of injected molded foam that has the same impact cushioning as a 16oz boxing glove, so you don’t hurt your training partners. I think Combat Sports is a TUF sponsor. At any rate, if you need MMA gear, their prices are better than just going to Top Team or somewhere else, and you get a variety.. just a heads up..

The “GOGOPLATA” is a great lock, however it is difficult to use on experienced fighters, I think the only reason Diaz was able to use it in Pride 33 was because Gomi was exhausted, otherwise, its like the “show off move” of BJJ, it’s a very rarely used submission tactic. The other thing, is that you have to be somewhat lanky, and flexible to do it, I cannot, as I am 5ft 8 and 185, so yeah, I would tear the ligaments in my knees doing it.. I have 2 students that can do it and love to try using it on each other, but they are so experienced they know it when they see it coming so it’s like pre-stepping a kick, you automatically defend and deflect it before you can lock it in, it would never work on a BJJ fighter in my opinion if the fighter was half descent.

Yeah, I am pretty stacked, did a lot of weight lifting in college, which I thinks now was a mistake because I really was a better fighter at 168lb.. much faster, but my power is really good where I am at, it’s just hard to take people down that are so much taller, most people I fight in my weight division are 6ft or taller.
@Dennis, I wear those pillows on boxing day, so as not to hurt my students, but when we are training straight MMA, it’s 7 oz Combat Sports gloves, I will get a pick of them and show you, they are great!

This is going to be a pretty good card. I can’t wait to see it…for free too. As far as training MMA goes, I’de love to. I don’t think there are any Gyms in my area (Cincy) that take walk ins (Gurgel’s Gym is a about 2hrs away..a little far)…plus I’m out of shape, then again the gym might help with that…lol I’m 6’4 and about 245 right now. so any Gyms inthe cincy area that need alarge frame HW punching bag..I’m available.
