Today's Mixed Martial Arts News and Analysis Headquarters

I wrote the other day about Tito’s post on the UG Forums. For those that don’t remember, Tito said the following:

Rashad Evans!!! He will be my Nappy Headed Ho. On 7-7-07…Let The Punishment Begin!!! Tito Ortiz www.Punishment.com

Well, Rashad Evans responded today on the KTEG 104.7 The Edge radio morning show this AM. You can listen to the call below or listen to it directly on the UFC.com website.

Rashad brings up some good points including the fact that Tito really hasn’t beaten anyone in the past few years other than Ken Shamrock. Also, Rashad says he thinks Tito might not really be Mexican and probably has nappy hair himself.

rashad really keeps his composure even though i think ortizs comments aint that bad in america were aloud to say whatever we want but if what u said gets ur azzz beat then so be it like in this case i think rashad is going to take his nappy head and titos gonna take his and im afraid if they get to rubbin we might have a fire LOL

Rashad seems like a really cool, mellow guy. What I can say is that the respect Tito gained from me as the coach of TUF, is gone now…mainly due to the show about his fight with Dana. I believe Dana and all the crazy things he said that Tito used to do and obviously, still does. Also to be clear, I repected his character on TUF but NEVER respected his fight game. Everything Rashad says about Tito’s fights is straight on point and I agree. They better make that fight card much better than just this fight…because the last thing Dana needs right now is another boring ground fest in the main event.

i agree with Amir on this one.. Tito wasnt always just hype tho, he was a force in the earlier UFC days. As much as he says Ken Shamrock is a dinosaur, i think what Tito does to win fights is also obsolete, thats why he hasnt shown us anything lately. At this point in his career he IS using hype to keep himself afloat in the mma game, Rashaad has a great opportunity to beat tito, i would put the odds at 50-50 even though tito will be the favorite, if Rashaad wins i wouldnt be surprised at all.

i just see tito shooting taking rashad down but rashad getting up on his feet i just dont see how tito can keep rashad down

  6. Dennis says:

Well, I can say that sugar has come a long way since Matt punk’d him on TUF….
