When Zuffa, LLC, the parent company of the Ultimate Fighting Championships, purchased the WEC earlier this year, it was announced that a cable television deal had been signed with the Versus network. It appears now that the first WEC events will start appearing on the Versus network starting with a WEC Live even on June 3.
The June 3 card in Las Vegas will be headlined by a Welterweight title fight between current WEC champion Carlos Condit and UFC veteran Brock Larson. Condit won the WEC Welterweight title with a victory by submission over John Alessio back at WEC 26. Also on the June 3 card, WEC Featherweight champion Urijah Faber will once again defend his title against Chance Farrar.
Other fights include a rematch between John Alessio and Alex Serdyukov, Micah Miller vs. Cub Swanson, and UFC veteran Mark Hominick will make his WEC debut against Rani Yahira.

Wanderlei Silva is an MMA legend, thats all there is to it, the subject is not even open for debate bro.. no matter what happens from now on, if he loses every fight by KO, nobody can change what he accomplished in the past and what he brought to the sport. Like the gracies, alot of people hate them, but they ushered in a new era in mma with BJJ. People can hate on them, but nobody can deny what they did for the sport, theyre cocky or watever, but it doesnt defer the fact that they revolutionized the ground game.

that’s a good question, because I really never hated on Silva, before all the trash talking of Silva vs. Chuck and Pride vs. UFC.
I guess in a way, I had to “pick sides”, and totally disagreed with all the trolls at the time claiming Pride was superior to UFC, and wandi was Pride’s poster boy, and Chuck still is UFC’s poster boy, so wandi got the short end of the stick.
It didn’t help that he’s been losing most of his latest fights. That just made him an easy target.

I understand your point, my main point was that Wanderlei Silva is indeed on the SAME and EQUAL scale as Chuck and the rest, he is ranked #4 in the world, after 2 losses.. says he is good. Six years at the top of the mountain, I just want to give the man so respect, people are so “what have you done for me .. TODAY” .. his legacy speaks for itself.
