For those of you who didn’t get to see the Thiago Silva vs James Irvin fight from UFC 71: Liddell vs Jackson, here is the video. Be warned though, Irvin’s knee injury might make you a bit “squeamish.” (By the way, this video is in Portuguese no English.)

well that didnt look as bad as i though it would. probably just pulled a few things.

  2. bvrasp says:

nah, not bad at all.. not like crocop heh that was nasty!

  3. What’s the source on that? Are there tv stations in south america which get to air some of the prelim fights live? Not too shabby of a promotional idea.

  4. richard says:

james irvin has a good physique and has ko power but in his last fight and this one he doesnt really show any great skills at all but that anchor on his side sure does make him look tough;)

  5. PATRICK says:

I GOT A FIGHT FOR YALL TO WATCH!!!!!

    -Wanderlei Silva vs Kazushi Sakuraba-

with all the talk about Wandy, and the upcoming Sakuraba vs Royce match coming up, i thought id post this up man. This was a great fight man! much respect to both warriors doing what they do best!

Cant wait till saturday man, i watched some videos of royce training for his fight with Saku. He was real classy and nonchalant about it, hes not fighting for family honor or anything, hes not taking it personal, but it seems to me hes not determined enough to win the fight. Sounds like another beatdown for Royce in 2 days, but another payday aswell..

  9. PATRICK says:

    COOL I CANT WATCH VIDEO

WHO WINS THAT FIGHT THOUGH AND HOW?

  10. richard says:

was that there first fight?Wandy is an animal hes a beast and looked awesome there but i did see one thing he got rocked bad by SAKURABA imagine if that would of been chuck lights out ,but wandy did kick the sh*it out of him

  11. bvrasp says:

heh yea richard, that was their first fight.. gotta give credit to Saku, he came to fight and went right at Wandy.. like you said he countered him hard on the way in too.. I think Silva would have a better chance to beat chuck in Pride with the knees on the ground and everything, if it gets to the ground ofcourse..

  12. richard says:

thats why im a little worried about shogun coming to the ufc he seems to utilize those knees and kicks to the floor but im sure he will adapt

  13. MMAKansas says:

    @Richard

HAVE NO FEAR, SHOGUN WILL WHIP EVERYONE!

Kidding… yeah the knees and stomps play a huge role in “closing the deal” or “finishing off” for the Wand and Shogun so adaptation could be hard. The “unified MMA rules” ie (the fertitas and Dana’s attempt to make the NSAC happy) are not good for Muay Thai fighters.

I am sure like Wand said, it will be a time to improve their style, this time off to heal, and to revamp the chuteboxe approach to MMA is going to be good for the boys, they have been too busy preparing for individual opponents to stop and revamp the last 6 years, so yeah, this is good, and I think in the end since they DO train in an OCTAGON and understand the UFC rules they will be prepared, but not as dominant looking at the upstart.

  14. richard says:

i personnally dont like the way the try to make fighting more mainstream straight up i agree with no biting no back of the head shots and headbutts(to much cuts)other than that who doesnt like a FU*CKIN kick to the head or some great knees human **** fighting no but a fight is a fight

  15. bvrasp says:

Kansas, you see the fight link i put up??
