For those of you who didn’t get to see the K-1 USA: Dynamite show over the weekend, don’t worry; you didn’t miss much. Much was made about the K-1 show ahead of time and all the troubles they had trying to get the fight card off the ground, and overall the show was less than stellar. For those of you who like the “off-color” type of reviews, Fightlinker has a pretty accurate review of the show including a pretty humorous video recap of the evenings “events.”
The much anticipated Royce Gracie vs Sakuraba matchup turned out to be pretty much a non-event in the end, with Royce Gracie winning by way of decision. Overall the evening was pretty lackluster with the exception of Jake Shields, in my opinion. Luke Thomas over at BloodyElbow.com raises a good question on my Shields hasn’t been signed by the UFC yet.
The highlight of the night was easily the Johnny Morton knockout by Bernard Ackah. Not only did Morton get KO’d in grand fashion, but the CSAC suspended him indefinitely after he refused to submit a post-fight urine sample for drug testing and as a result, Morton will not receive the $100,000 paycheck he was supposed to receive for the fight. This is a good example of the fact that just because you happen to be a good athlete, that doesn’t mean you will be a good MMA fighter. Check it out the video below.

well it didnt take much to knockout morton lol. its probably a good thing he can never fight again because he got carried out on a stretcher and he barely even got hit by that right hand. lol train hard then fight lol.
