Luke Thomas over at BloodyElbow.com has gotten his hands on the fighter payouts from the Strikeforce/EliteXC Judgment Day show last weekend.
-Frank Shamrock ($1.3 million) def. Phil Baroni ($75,000)
-Cung Le ($100,000) def. Tony Fryklund ($12,000)
-Murilo “Ninja” Rua ($50,000) def. Joey Villasenor ($32,000)
-Paul Buentello ($50,000) def. Carter Wiliams ($25,000)
-Paul Daley ($30,000) def. Duane “Bang” Ludwig ($15,000)
-Edson Berto ($25,000) def. Victor Valenzuela ($30,000)
-Josh Thomson ($15,000) def. Nick Gonzalez ($10,000)
With numbers like these it’s easy to see why guys like Nick Diaz, Sokoudjou, and many others are taking a long hard look at all their options before just “giving in” to the UFC.

** UPDATE **
MMAWeekly.com is now confirming the same numbers as The Fight Network.

These guys are making tons more money than the guys in the ufc. Didnt Liddell only make 500 000? **** these guys are getting paid twice as much. Guys like Keith JArdine only made 7000 for there fight. And he was a big name in his weight class. Ufc needs to start raising the salaries a bit
Not so fast. There is a discrepancy in the numbers reported. The Fight Network is reporting via the CSAC very different figures.
I can guarantee that Frank made over a mil for that fight.. he doesnt fight for any less.. thats how he moves.. even tho hes a prick, hes not stupid.. as a fighter, or a businessman..
I give Frank mad respect for standing up with Baroni, I really want to see him fight some higher ranked opponents. Hes always been talking about how great he is, but hes been reluctant to prove it. He won back a chunk of respect after his disrespectful performance against Renzo..
