After defeating Nate Marquardt this past Saturday at UFC 73: Stacked, Anderson Silva can now look ahead to UFC 77 in October and a rematch with Rich Franklin in Cincinnati, Ohio. As you can tell from this video by Fightlinker.com, I don’t think Rich is too thrilled looking forward to the rematch.

u mean 2006 right
@Richard,
lol. no you would think it would have been 2006 with the number of comments he has, but he’s only been around MMA HQ since 2007.
hey doc, you a member of mma tracker???
@BV,
MMA Tracker? You referring to the torrent tracker? if so, then, yes I am
@Dr.J
ya thats what im talking about hehe.. so did you see the prelims?? specifically the Lytle fight?
@BV,
I actually haven’t had a chance yet to watch any of the undercard fights yet. I’m hoping to by the end of the week. I did see the finish of the Lytle fight, but didnt see the whole thing yet.
@Dr.J
ya i gotchu, i think they could have squeezed a few of those fights into the ppv broadcast.. it doesnt make sense man.. they have these guys fighting and they never broadcast their fights, i guess theyre making money from the ufc on demand thing? do they have the prelims on there?
they usually do get most of the prelim fights up on their on demand service, but I dont know how long it takes for them to have them available.
That does seem strange Dennis’s first comment was 1-10-07 because I thought I remembered him making comments about the Chuck vs Tito fight that happened December of last year calling him hypster and things like that. Even before that I think I argued with him I believe. I may be mistaken though.
im sure he was on befor then too
yeah, you guys sound right. I’ll have to go back and check again. I do seem to remember him talking about the Chuck-Tito fight as well
@the Dennis search party
i think you guys are thinking about when we first heard about Rampage fighting Chuck after his win over Eastman and i said i dont think Rampage was ready (boy was i wrong) and just like Tito they are building his name on hype rather then talent it was around that time Dennis started calling everyone hypesters.
he didnt leave a personal email somewhere?
Boy this sports fans sure are fickle. Just before the Silva fight Franklin was this unbeatable demi-god was going to rule the 185 division till he was 62yrs old. He drops the ball in one fight and now people wonder if he belongs in the ufc….wtf. He could lose his next two fights and still be a contender in the division.
i never said he should retire i just know he cant be silva
I think that this matchup is due… why is everyone perplexed or worried about the “future” of Rich Franklin?
Who cares, if the guy can no longer tow the line, then let go of the rope, he either wins or doesnt plain and simple…
Rich was once a VERY marketable guy, but for the past 6 months he isn’t even a headline fight in my opinion….
You never know if Franklin is coming to throw down or enter a hump fest…. same for Hughes, if both don’t drastically improve their striking and submissions, their popularity is gonna wane so bad that they’ll will be on the undercard of a “Rage in the Cage” show…
I agree in part with MAXX that Franklin could lose this and still be a contender, however his last fight looked pitiful and he got DESTROYED much like Liddell with Rampage so I don’t think getting his arse whipped again by the same guy from PRIDE is gonna help….
