Brock LesnarFormer WWE star Brock Lesnar was a guest on MMAWeekly.com’s radio show earlier this week and stated that he is eagar to sign a UFC contract. Lesnar said he has had prior discussions with Dana White but would not go much further than that. Brock did say he would be attending UFC 74: Respect this weekend but noted that he wasn’t attending at the request of the UFC.

One of the funnier moments in the interview was when Lesnar trash-talked former UFC Heavyweight champion Tim Syliva.

“I enjoyed watching Randy beat the sh*t out of Tim Sylvia. I enjoyed that. I mean take a look at this guy, Tim Sylvia, the guy’s feet; they’re damn near webbed. He looks like the Swamp Thing. The guy is a vulture. He can’t wrestle worth a crap. He’s got a jab and a little right hand. There’s no way. I’d double-leg his a** right through that cage so fast, and that would be the end of the fight. I’m tired. I’m tired of this. Brock Lesnar wants to fight somebody, somebody with credentials, and Tim Sylvia ain’t the guy.”

Here is an excerpt from the interview.

  1. MAD says:

I read this also and thought it was funny. Brock is huge but do we need another steriod issue to arise? Brock has only 1 professional MMA fight and he already thinks he’s a top ten fighter. It would be funny to see him pummel Tim though. From the interview it sounds like he thinks he can take Ranndy and even mentioned Fedor. He may be overconfident but what the heck the UFC should give him a chance. If he thinks he will be making top ten fighter money he is sadly mistaken.

  2. richard says:

    mad
i disagree with u bud, i think he will be making top ten money even though he has one fight

  3. MMAKansas says:

This is very interesting… looks like Brock has something to prove… he would be a very good attraction for the UFC as far as name and face recognition goes, but again there is the steroid issue and Lesners been stuck with more needles than a crack ***** on troost avenue… so there is automatically a “buyer beware” tag on him in my opinion..

  4. richard says:

    kansas
whats up man nice to have u back. But a better analogie is hes been poked more times than titos girlfriend LOL

  5. bvrasp says:

If they do decide to sign him.. he should fight someone much lower on the ladder than Sylvia in my opinion.. If he has no mma training and hes just relying on his wrestling, he probably get submitted after he gasses with no juice in his system.

Ive heard once you go off roids, you lose like 60% of your power and about 80% of your gastank. I dont think he could even handle Zulu lol.

  6. MMAkansas says:

    @Richard

I stand corrected… you have one up on me in the analogy department for sure.. lol!

  7. R.J. St.Croix says:

im not sure what to think of Lesnar. is he going to be big or will he fade away after hes exposed as nothing more then a pro wrestler? the guy used to let people smack him in the face with folding steel chairs and i seen a video once of him back flipping off the top rope and landing head first i think i even heard he finished that match. so he is at least somewhat able to take a beating. he has a “real” wrestling back round so he not totally untrained. i guess time will tell.

  8. Savage says:

I dunno R.J. I think with his size and his agility he could be a good fighter in the heavy weight division maybe not top ten or anything great but probly entertaining but like you said time will tell. oh and go to canadianmma.com thats the site of the guy i was talking to you about today and it looks like there way ahead of us.

  9. Savage says:

off topic anyone know where you can get the gloves that hey had in pride or who makes them cuz those gloves are sick and i want a pair or 2.

  10. R.J. St.Croix says:

    @Savage
yes buddy! thats good news. did you see that Albert Doxtator is trying to put on an mma show at Oneida First Nations. that would be cool as hell, i could go pick up my smokes and watch a fight at the same time lol.lol i wonder if my probation officer would be ok with ME fighting, it says they are having trouble getting fighters because people are afraid of being arrested. and i see they got Battle at the Beach on there…. man i wanted to see you fight. oh well i guess you have more time to get ready but you must be itching to step in by now. you and Josh should come over on Saturday to watch the fight. we can go down to the dungeon and kick the f*ck out of each other… i dont have gloves right now so we’ll have to go bare knuckle vale tudo style but ah whatever, it’ll be good times.

  11. Lee says:

First of all got to give “Richard” a big thank you for the laugh, “poked more times than Titos girlfriend.” F***ing hilarious.

Brock appears, make sure you pay attention “appears”, to have a lot of potential. He’s fast, strong, has good size, good agility, and a following (name recognition). Plus he seems to have a mean streak in him. If he is on roids, all of that may change, coming off the roids takes time and then you have to start over. His training regimate will have to change, his cardio will have to be challenged to see what he really has in his tank. You get the picture. Hope he is smarter than some of these pin cushions and has stayed off the roids since leaving “Pro Wrestling Entertainment.”

On a second note, and I will keep it short. What the hell is wrong with some of these guys? Testing has become a huge topic in mainstream sports. MMA wants to be a mainstream sport, it comes out of Danas’ mouth all the time, more than “I hate Tito.” If these guys want to make the real money they say they should be getting then they need to be smart enough to understand the policies of their sport and the scrutiny it is under. Dont be stupid, steriods are always going to be an issue, but if you want to be in the sport for any period of time your going to have to stay away from them. Eventually you will get caught. For the other ****, pot, etc., why risk everything you can have for a little time of fun. Use wisely is what my Papa always told me.

MMA forever, love the sport, appreciate the fighters and what they do to entertain all of us.

  12. MMAKansas says:

I think Brocks first fight should be against Mirko Cro Cop… he said he wanted to fight a real fighter… there you go.. lol

  13. bvrasp says:

lol nah Kansas, i dont think Brock should get crocop.. i dont think he should get anyone with a name until he proves himself as an mma fighter. Climb the ladder like anyone else..

Heres an idea, TUF 6, pro wrestlers and boxers who want to be mma fighters.. get morrison in there.. lesnar, and let them go at it. Id like to see Mayweathers narrow *** in the octagon lol, they wont call him pretty boy anymore after a few vicious elbows to his dome..

  14. bvrasp says:

oh ya, and if Lesnar is going to fight anyone with a name, they should put him up against Fujita, that would be an interesting matchup

  15. Savage says:

@R.J. yeah man sounds good if i am home in time from my fight on saturday i will def come and i got a couple pairs of gloves so i’ll bring them too. maybe i’ll go and see if i can fight and you can corner me we can make a wining combination.

  16. MoreThanUFC says:

Could BL even make 265? He fought at 285 last time and that was after cutting to make his contracted weight.

  17. bvrasp says:

    @morethanufc

Well, he made 265 in his K1 fight, plus wrestlers are used to cutting, so i dont think it should be a factor.

  18. richard says:

    plus brock is f-ing huge

  19. bvrasp says:

you see his K1 fight richard?

  20. Jason Gatties says:

I’ve seen Brock work out in person a few years ago. The guy is an animal and I’m telling you (and most of the time, my predictions come true) if Brock signs with the UFC, he will be considered a top 5 heavyweight with in 1 year.

I’m also pretty sure Brock is off the roids….pretty sure….

  21. bvrasp says:

how would you picture a fight with Brock and Fujita Gatties?

  22. richard says:

    bvrasp
i seen brocks first mma fight i dont know if it was k-1 but brock smashed the guy really the guy if he has wrestling skills then he can go from there

  23. bvrasp says:

Ya it was K1 rich, against that Korean guy.. I dont think he knew who Lesnar was or else he might have tried to defend the takedown. There was no takedown defence at all, then Brock just hammered him ala mark coleman. Theres no question that Brock can wrestle, and his whole strategy is based on getting that takedown, when someone is expecting that, its alot easier to defend against, or counter. I think he would get beat up against a real opponent. Much like all the other big slabs of beef do hehe

  24. Iain says:

Lesnar would do well in UFC if he is given time. The guy was NCAA Division 1 Heavyweight Champion in 2000 and had an amateur wrestling record of 106-5 in college. He would basically be an equivelent of a Heavyweight Josh Koscheck.

If he gets his striking and submission skills to a good level then he could be a mid-high level fighter in the next few years and could possible be a Top 5 guy in 3-4 years time.

  25. MMAKansas says:

Bottom line, give the guy a chance to see what he is made of… he was an NCAA Wrestling Champ like KO’s and Chuck and Randy so let’s see what he has to offer, a little dirty boxing, some BJJ with Royce, and of course he is strong as an ox…. I think he will be in the top 15-10 within 2 years.

  26. bvrasp says:

ya, i agree with you guys, right now hes strong as an ox, and about as crafty os one in martial arts terms. Strong wrestling is great, look at Dan Severn, he was just a beast, but look what Royce did to him, he completely manhandled a guy who was like 90lbs heavier than him! LOL. In terms of mma skill, i think thats where Lesnar is, at Dan Severns level.

2 years is the perfect number, like Kos he will probably forego all wrestling training and work strictly BJJ,Boxing and Muai Thai. He could definately be a force in the UFC. The real question is if Brock Lesnar is willing to do that, or if he thinks hes already the best in the world and is gonna fight on just Testosterone lol. We shall have to wait and see..

Its a Paradox really, a guys head gets soo big, nothing else can fit in it. lol

  27. MMAKansas says:

    @BV
lol… his head is huge, the guys ego is bigger than Frank Mir’s… thats darn big amigo! But hey, he has been training with Gracie and Miletech for over a year now..

  28. MMAKansas says:

Oh.. guys, this is the ONLY place I submit opinions about anything.. so here is an opinion that will piss someone off.. it is irrelative to the topic of MMA, but it is a little relative because its in relation to an athlete…. MICHAEL VICK IS GETTING SCREWED BIG TIME!…. I believe he should be punished… suspended a year with loss of endorsements and fines, as well as having to openly profess his wrongdoing and encourage right doing but my lord man, this guy fought some dogs, that the CITY OF ATLANTA is going the kill, euthanise, whatever term they want to water it down with… total bs.. way overreacting to the PITA crowd in my opinion… yeah it’s sick, but so is men humping men, and people loving tree’s more than…… people!…. but my lord man, to tear his life apart over the death of 6 dogs and some dog fighting… that is just shite amigos!

  29. bvrasp says:

Firstly, i have to admit that dog fighting or any other animals fighting is not cool. Its pretty fcked up man, because this isnt some natural conflict caught on tape by national geographic or something.. Theyre torturing these animals, who knows what theyre doing to them, shooting them with roids, starving them then feeding them raw meat, putting the tazer to their balls before the match. Theyre tormented to the point the lose their minds and they just want to lash out and the let them loose on each other.. DAM any way you look at it, its wrong man, its morally reprehensible.

Secondly, I believe Humans are more important than animals, and they are not equal on this earth, thats just the truth to all the tree huggers. If a dog attacked me and bit me, you can bet im executing that dog on the spot, regardless of how much some little kid might love him. Is that excessive? well you cant blame the dog if he tears a child apart can you? hes just a dog, its your job to put that dog down. He doesnt know any better, and you do, he wont feel bad after if he tears your throat out.

  30. bvrasp says:

Its hard to say what they should do to him.. it definately has to be taken seriously, because we cant have that sht happening. Just like with human cockfighting, theres fight out there to the death people, there have been for thousands of years. The more that type of **** is allowed to happen, the more it could become a larger underground industry. Lets not degenerate to the point of the romans man.

I love mma because its controlled and its competative athletes in a sanctioned matchup pitting their skills against each other. Ive trained but im not a big fighter and ive never instigated a fight in my life. Mainly because i dont like to hurt people and obviously i dont like to be hurt, so if you dont fight everyone wins. Consequently ive never had any serious injuries during training either.

If its a streetfight, you never know what can happen, the guy could try and gouge your eyes out, or pull a blade or a gun on you. Thats why those kinds of confrontations dont work for me, what do you stand to gain by fighting with some idiot in a bar? Respect? no man, id be the first one to walk away if possible.. ofcourse, when its on then its on then its on…

  31. MMAKansas says:

    @BV..
I understand your position… I agree….. I just think that a dog is a dog… and putting a man in prison for 5 years, taking everything he has, taking his job, taking his families livelihood, its just too much in my opinion…

  32. bvrasp says:

yea, its a tough call, but if he kept his nose clean, he wouldnt be in trouble hehe. Look at R Kelly, Michael Jackson, their transgressions were sexual so i guess it makes them seem like deviants. What Vick did was not much better just because it was with animals. What if the case was with someone who wasnt a celebrity, they would throw him to the dogs, so to speak.. He dun fcked up, now hes in trouble.. It might have seemed all in good fun at the time, but the level of abuse to those animals is sick man. Theyre making an exaple of him and basically making him the Hitler of animal cruelty, which isnt necessarily true, then again, i dont know the guy lol.

My buddy got a 5000 fine for shooting a bird with a pellet gun, this was substantially worse.

  33. MMAKansas says:

I think animal cruelty is bad… but I love hamburgers…. lol… Hey I love animals… especially BEEF… CHICKEN… FISH, and when I was in India back in 1998 I had some Feline… didn’t know what it was until after I ate it.. but it was okay… yeah I don’t like animal cruelty, but if we were that hard on people neglecting their kids, or for example partial birth abortion.. which is essentially murder… then our stance as a society would make sense, but all this “kill innocent unborn babies” but “protect the innocent pit bulls” is a little backwards… the right to choose? Yeah I choose to abort a few pit bulls sz ol Vick! I don’t agree with it, its all just sick… I think we need to get our minds right as a nation all the way around…

  34. MMAKansas says:

But all in all, I say leave Babalu alone…. lol … just thought I would throw that in there… I am sure you will all stone me in short order for my above posts…. and trolls will be commenting on it like 6 months from now… whatever… lol… as long as DrJ doesn’t kick me off!

  35. bvrasp says:

LOL i agree Kansas, i love hamburgers and Veal too man, i aint no leaf eater. Like i said, were superior to animals, thats natures law not mine man hehe.

  36. richard says:

i seen videos of dogfights and there brutual man and its bad enough sometimes they die in the ring but when the lose sometimes they toture them.but he might go to jail but lindsay lohan gets caught with coke and there going to drop the charges crazy

  37. MMAKansas says:

    yeah kinda weird huh?

  38. R.J. St.Croix says:

awe man i go to work for a few hours and we start talking about Lindsay Lohan and coke and dog fighting. man i gotta quit this dumb asss job lol. all i gotta say is welcome to the real world and its a pretty f*cked up one! im not sure why this world continues to down this f*cked up path but here we go hold on kids!!!! if you look to your right we’ll see child molestation, and on your left we have thousands of African children dying of AIDS, up ahead we have crack and landmines. we as people of Earth need to pull together to fix this…….good luck getting everyone on the same page. its a good thing i can still flip on my t.v. and watch two dudes beat the hell out of each other so i can forget this sh*t hole i live for a few hours…

  39. UFC Fan says:

for now Lesnar has too much muscle mass. He’s gonna tired out carrying all of that muscle. I dont see him being to quick either. All his game plan(i think) is to just charge aggresively. If he doesnt take the guy out in the 1st round he’s gonna run out of gas. then in the 2nd round BOOM, lesnar is knock out by the, a round house kick/ Nice punch or submitted.

But hey im just judging from his size, im sure he’s gonna be more technical, quicker, and block better than i think
