    I’ve posted my thoughts on this video here –

    Ego > good business practice = poor long-term matchmaking

  2. MMAKansas says:

    Typical Dana White…

    Whadda ya want you candya** pansy?!?! I’ll cut ya freakin legs off!

  3. Jason Gatties says:

    Dana is 100% right with the “mma media” bias. Its been going on for a long time and I use to blog about it constantly. That is why I like Doc’s site the best. This is, to me anyways, the only MMA website without any bias. I don’t agree with Doc 100% of the time, but he’s fair.

  4. OZZY says:

    It sounds like Chuck will at east take a long lay off or even worse RETIRE. Could we see another repeat of Randy.

  5. MMAKansas says:

    Ozzy, where did you get that idea from?

  6. MMAKansas says:

    @Ozzy

    If he did retire he wouldn’t be able to pull a Randy…. Randy only came back because the division was weak, and his style is totally different as is his training regimen and his build/cardio… Chucks division is waaaay to think to try and pull a comeback.

    Honestly you sound like you have a “bias” against Pride and Pride fighters.. I mean the organization doesn’t exist now… but fighters from there now hold 2 out of 5 of the UFC’s belts… so its not a total wash as far as how good they are…

    The unification bout was really two pride fighters Dan and Rampage.. sorry but Chuck wasn’t good enough to make the cut, neither was Tito, or Forrest, wow or Jardine either…. hmmmm

    I like UFC fighters and fighters from other orgs, but you just sound like anything outside of UFC is the enemy and you alway go for the UFC stalworth no matter what most of the time..

  8. Jason Gatties says:

    I sure do. I had a bias against the PRIDE ORGANIZATION…not Pride fighters, I’ve explained this for years. Pride was a poorly run organization (people cry about UFC’s drug testing policy, much better than Pride, drug testing didn’t exist and don’t give me the “they don’t test in Japan” crap, they still could have)…period, end of story. I didn’t have an issue with the fighters except for the fact that I feel some are a bit over rated, which I have said about UFC fighters as well (Tim Sylvia, Andrei Arlovski, Frank Trigg, etc).

    So Kansas..get your fact straights before you attempt to attack me.

  9. MMAKansas says:

    @GATTIES

    Got my facts straight boy… and you just confirmed what I said so what didn’t I get right?

    Yeah…

  10. MMAKansas says:

    @Gatties

    skip a bag bro…

    I have to admit that I’ve found a whole new respect for Chuck Liddell after this fight. Those of you who have been here for a while know that I always used to get into arguments with good ole’ Dennis about how I thought Chuck was way too overrated and hadn’t been tested in many years by a non-grappler. Some agreed, some did not. However, after seeing this fight…I can see exactly how incredible of a fighter Chuck is. I know, it sound crazy since he lost…but even though he didn’t give that extra push to win the fight…he obviously inflicted a hell of a lot more damage to Jardine. Even in this clip, you can see Jardine barely able to speak or even drink water…he looks basically like a mess, whereas Chuck looks almost the same as always. This, in my opinion, is a testament in itself to the greatest striker in UFC history. Watching a pure striking match with these guys was artistic.
