Oh, man oh man. I have never hated Kevin Iole more than I do now. I didn’t think my disdain for him could grow any deeper, and yet it has. I’m reading through the latest MMA news tonight and came across this headline from Iole in my RSS Reader.
White’s reaction could determine MMA’s future
The future of MMA depends on how Dana White handles the Randy Couture fallout.
I really could and should stop this post right now as all of you are able to determine exactly what I have to say after reading Iole’s headline. If you read the article, don’t be fooled by his veiled attempt at being critical of Dana White and the UFC.
I understand the need to use “catchy” headlines to garner attention for your articles, but lets be realistic. “The future of MMA depends on how Dana White handles the Randy Couture fallout”???? THE FUTURE OF MMA?
You know what, forget it. I’m not even going to bother with saying anything…

Yeah, I read the article dummy. If you had actually read my article you would seen I told you not to waste your own time reading it and not to be fooled by the rhetoric in there.
How Dana White handles this has NOTHING to do with the future of MMA. Sure it may have a little to do with the immediate success of the UFC but not with MMA as a whole. Whether he wants to admit it or not, MMA is much bigger than Dana White. The future of MMA will be determined by the fighters and the fans.
In fact, now that i analyze the whole thing, i think Randys departure and criticism of the UFC management is going to prove to be one of the best things to ever happen for the sport

I mean, i dont know Randy personaly, but he strikes me as a straight shooter, i dont think he would make a stink over nothing. I mean hes the UFC posterboy, like Wandy was for Pride, hall of fame and all that, now for him to turn around and say theres a problem, i would be inclined to believe him.
I have to go with Randy in this situation also. He’s well respected by everyone except Zuffa I guess. To be a hall of famer and get shunned like this is disheartening. I have total respect for Randy and the decision he made. Someone needed to step up to Dana and the UFC so good for him.
